I bought it for $350 and sold it a few months later, a deal I had to make with my parents to get them to acquiesce to what I thought was one of the greatest ideas of all time: me in a sleek, fast, and nimble car to try out my inestimable driving skillI sold it for the same amount I had bought it for and I broke even except for gas plus all the polish, wax, and other chemicals I put on or in it. I enjoyed - no, make that - LOVED, driving the MG that summer. I spent hours each day driving or working on that car. It has rusted out rocker panels which I carefully scrapped out and painted rust-proof silver. With a meticulousness worthy of a new category of dementia, I sanded each wheel and sprayed them in short stages with the leftover paint from the rocker panel project. Bendis started off slowly, but he slowly gained some steam and delivered a pretty good ending to the debut issue of this big event. I expect Secret Invasion #2 to be a good read that provides some nice cotton candy for the brain. But events in the western Anbar province had already been spiralling out of control and were threatening the volatile security situation in occupied Iraq. On April 28, 2003, US soldiers occupying the Al-Qaid school in Falluja opened fire on dozens of demonstrators who had been protesting the use of the premises as a forward base for the US 82nd Airborne Division. Residents of Falluja had also been protesting against the use of night vision goggles, which they mistakenly believed were used by US soldiers to spy on their wives and daughters. Seventeen Iraqis were killed and scores wounded. The US military said its soldiers had responded properly after coming under "effective fire" from some 25 armed men hiding within the Iraqi crowds outside the school and atop adjacent buildings....
Comic Book Review: New Avengers #40: Secret Invasion
2008-05-02 14:27:00 The Revolution has maintained low expectations for Secret Invasion. I am not expecting anything more than a story that is the equivalent of your typical summer blockbuster movie. And so far, this approach has served me well as I have been rather entertained by this Skrull infiltration. I am definitely looking forward to New Avengers #40 since it continues the story that we got over on New Avengers: The Illuminati #1 that came out way back in December of 2006. Talk about a long wait. This should be an entertaining read. In The Other Paper I read that there will be a Viking ship in Columbus (Upper Arlington area south of McCoy, north of Fishinger tried posting a map and a link here both failed to work) on Friday, on the Scioto River... 7690 Riverside Drive is where the Viking ship will be on Friday May 2, 2008 from 8:00 until 4:00 P.M. Or will it be at that address and then sailing down the Scioto to a small town 30 miles south of Columbus which shall remain nameless here?
