Dicha cantidad se obtiene tras sumar el precio de todos y cada uno de los componentes que forman parte del móvil y los gastos asociados al proceso de ensamblaje. Aquí tenéis una tabla en la que se detallan los componentes del terminal:En los 174,33 dólares no se incluyen, eso sí, los costes asociados al transporte de los terminales desde los puntos de fabricación hasta los centros de venta, la inversión realizada en el desarrollo del sistema operativo que lo impulsa, en las aplicaciones que incluye ni en publicidad. En todo caso, es digno de resaltar que cada iPhone 3G de 8 GB le cuesta a Apple 53 dólares menos que su homólogo de la generación anterior, todo un logro teniendo en cuenta que los nuevos modelos disponen de mejoras reseñables como la conectividad 3G o un GPS integrado.
