Nintendo Wii was at the top, Xbox 360 somewhere in the middle and the PlayStation 3 near the bottom. But 2008 is a new year and so far looks nothing at all like 2007 ? except, of course, the Wii is still number one.Nintendo?s console sold the most in North America with 274,000 units, likely still selling out whatever is shipped to retailers.Believe it or not, second place belongs to the PlayStation 3, selling 269,000, just 5,000 fewer units than the Wii. But that does not mean that Audi is not making an attempt to get closer to BMW and Mercedes-Benz in terms of sales. Recently, The Auto Channel reported that Audi published its sales report for January. Wow! January's over already. Anyway, the automaker reported its sale for the United States auto market which is considered to be the most important market in the world even with the economic downturn. So, Audi reported that they have sold 6,418 units of high quality vehicles (I am quite sure that they are) for the month of January. That is 0.3 percent better than their sales in the United States last year for the same month. 2008-01-06 11:55:00 Having been recruited by my corporate-finance type brother to assist in the expansion of his work wardrobe I felt compelled to at least pop into New Look and take a fleeting glance. Of course, the venture proved nothing but fruitless in many respects. Striped chav-ish shirts in a cotton akin to sandpaper, rather fat braces and ties - the antithesis to the currently coveted skinny variety, and pair after pair after pair of bloody acid wash jeans hung limply throughout the store. I was - as per usual - feeling utterly deflated.However, all was not lost, soon I snatched a pair of charcoal grey slacks and a chocolate and grey v-neck jumper[yes the wool is of entirely questionable origin but for 6 euro!?, I, frankly, didn't care and neither did client in question - aforementioned brother]. After such a positive and positively rare New Look experience we found ourselves equipped with new courage to tackle the shoes. My - rather minuscule - conscience buried somewhere amid mounds of materialistic lust discouraged even the opening of the email, denouncing the earliness of the retail extravaganza as unquestionably repulsive. Alas, it is Christmas 2007 and what would Christmas nowadays be, without obligatory splurging? I succumbed... Highlights include...And yes, that red trench from a while back has appeared. In 2006, Mercedes-Benz significantly enhanced its competitive presence in the luxury light truck market with the launch of the full-sized luxury SUV: the GL-Class, which sold 1,815 units in January.
