Cash and Burn
2008-06-10 12:01:00 As The King of Kings and the Legend Thriller beat the bricks off of each other, John Cena sat at the announcer?s table. Triple H was in the process of getting counted out when Cena pulled The Game off the apron, resulting in a win for Jeff Hardy by count-out. The two Superstars stared one another down, inches away from a collision, when the high-flying Hardy launched himself out of the ring, taking down both Triple H and Cena. Click here for the video.

2008-05-31 04:29:00 The bell rings and just like that Layfield tags in Umaga to fight off Cena. Hunter/Hardy Comments
2008-05-23 02:49:00 Twist Of Fate: The Matt & Jeff Hardy Story topped Billboard's Recreational Sports DVD chart for the second consecutive week. According to a number of Matt Hardy Internet wrestling profiles, Triple H allegedly said of Matt Hardy's departure from the company in April 2005, "He never drew money anyway." Hardy countered Hunter's alleged comments in an online interview stating that he and his brother Jeff, as the Hardy Boyz, had been top sellers of WWE merchandise. source: wrestlezone.comWell, I don't see what the big deal is. I think Matt's statement is correct:1. Matt Hardy with Jeff Hardy as the Hardy Boyz = draw2. Jeff Hardy = draw3. Matt Hardy without Jeff Hardy = boring

Gregory Helms on Jeff Hardy
2008-03-20 00:35:00 Being one of the closest friends of Jeff Hardy, wrestling superstar Gregory Helms (aka Hurricane) was frequently asked about how he feels about Jeff. Here is Helms' response posted on his MySpace blog.Jeff Hardy. I’m amazed that people ask me how I feel about the recent events in Jeff’s life. Jeff is my friend, and Jeff is a great person and I hate when bad things happen to good people. I pray that things pick up for him. Jeff was there for me when I was down, and I’ll be there for him, no matter what. And I will say this; Jeff has given a lot to this business. He’s hurt his body countless times for the mere entertainment and simple excitement of others. He doesn’t ask anything from anyone and he’s put smiles on MILLIONS of faces! Think about that and ask yourself, how many people have you made happy in your life? Has he made mistakes? Who the fuck hasn’t? But in my mind, the good he’s done outweighs the bad by a country mile. I’m not making excuses and ...

Hardy House Fire Ruled "Undetermined"
2008-03-16 18:36:00 From TMZ.com:TMZ just spoke to Captain Bruner of the Cameron Fire Department -- and he told us the Moore County Fire Department has ruled the cause of the fire that claimed wrestler Jeff Hardy's home as "undetermined."Bruner said around 11:30 PM the blaze was "paged out as a wildfire" -- because the citizens that made the call only saw the fire through some woods. Three minutes later another call was made -- this time specifically naming the Hardy residence as the location of the fire. When firemen arrived at the scene, Hardy's home was "fully engulfed." Because the home was "burnt so bad," the Moore County Fire officials investigating the blaze ruled it "undetermined."Foul play on the part of Jeff Hardy is not being investigated -- because Jeff Hardy told Captain Bruner that he didn't have insurance on his home.

J.R. Comments on Jeff Hardy's Suspension
2008-03-13 11:10:00 The 60 day suspension, without pay, for a second violation of the WWE Wellness Program of Jeff Hardy is making headlines on several fronts. This is Jeff?s second strike and with one more he is out of the WWE, which would be a terrible waste of talent and opportunity. To say I am disappointed in these recent events would be an understatement and for those of us who have long believed in Jeff and have pulled for him throughout his career, these self inflicted wounds are especially distressing...More?source: jrsbarbq.com

WWE Superstar Jeff Hardy Suspended for Drug Policy Violation
2008-03-12 01:00:00 World Wrestling Entertainment has suspended one of its most popular performers for a second violation of the company's drug policy.WWE spokesman Gary Davis says wrestler Jeff Hardy, who has headlined numerous live and pay-per-view events, has been suspended for 60 days. He would not say what drugs were involved. Davis says there have been about 30 suspensions under the WWE substance abuse and drug testing policy begun in 2006, which requires tests for steroids and other drugs. A wrestler faces a 30-day suspension without pay for a first violation, a 60-day suspension for a second violation and firing for a third violation. Performers are tested at least four times per year. Last August, WWE suspended 10 wrestlers for violations of its drug testing policy involve drug purchases, mostly human growth hormones. Y2J takes Intercontinental Title from Jeff Hardy
2008-03-11 22:55:00 After six months, seven days and countless Swanton Bombs, Jeff Hardy’s high-flying reign as Intercontinental Champion has finally been grounded. In a title match at the Bradley Center, the “Rainbow-haired Warrior” found himself dragged back down to earth by the resolute hands of Chris Jericho.Ever since his return to competition from a two-year absence last November, Y2J has been anxious to win some gold. After tackling the challenge of the self-proclaimed “wrestling god,” JBL, Jericho refocused his efforts, determined to recapture that which he’d held many times before, the Intercontinental Championship. While Hardy had been on an enviable winning streak for months, his lion-hearted rival would not be rebuffed. The pair swapped blows, ascending the ropes and taking to the air throughout the match. In the end, however, the determination fixed on Y2J’s face proved too overwhelming to surmount.Jericho’s victory will likely reverberate far beyond the Bradley Center, as t...

Y2J defeated Jeff Hardy to qualify for Wrestlemania 24's Money in the Bank
2008-02-27 08:57:00 In a bout full of counters and near falls from both men, wrestling superstar Y2J Chris Jericho defeated Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy to earn his second Money in the Bank berth (he participated in the inaugural match at WrestleMania 21). Jeff's comments on the latest Matt and Jeff Hardy DVD
2008-02-25 18:07:00 Since I'm already at MySpace reading updates on TheHardyShow.com, I've decided to drop by at Matt Hardy's MySpace page. There I saw a post on his blog regarding Twist of Fate: The Matt and Jeff Hardy Story - the latest WWE DVD about our favorite high flying boys from North Carolina.Matt and Jeff Hardy were the first to get a copy and watch the DVD, and by reading his blog.. Matt sure is happy about Twist of Fate's outcome. Jeff also watched it and has this to say about the DVD:From Jeff-"I've been on the road for almost three weeks, and just now got to watch our new DVD with Matt. All of the fans will love this DVD-it amazingly capture a total honesty of the last few years of mine and Matt's careers! When you see 'Twist of Fate', you'll respect the honesty and connection that we have with the fans more than you ever have. To me, it's metaphorically a total inspiration for anyone to follow their dreams and never believe the disbelievers. It makes me proud of what two kids f...

Professor Wrestling: 'No Way Out' Picks
2008-02-15 01:25:00 Only one more stop for WWE before "WrestleMania 24," and it's a little pay-per-view called "No Way Out." On this card, two championship matches, two elimination chamber matches and a Ric Flair win-or-quit match. Wooooooooooooooo!..."RAW" Elimination Chamber Match: Jeff Hardy vs. Shawn Michaels vs Triple H vs. Chris Jericho vs. JBL vs. UmagaWhat Should Happen: The winner in this one takes on the WWE Champion at WM24. WWE is pushing Jeff Hardy right now, and I have a hard time disagreeing with that direction. He's earned it, and it seems like the live crowds really like the guy. Unlike the "Smackdown!" Elimination Chamber crew, this is a pretty strong field. Any one of these performers could hold their own in a title match on the biggest stage of the year. What Will Happen: I like Hardy, but I'm going with Triple H to win this one.source: www.wisn.com

Local pro wrestler's toughest foe may be fellow Tar Heel Vince McMahon
2008-02-01 01:30:00 On the rainy Sunday evening before New Year's Eve, tucked away in Raleigh's RBC Center arena, an estimated 5,000 rollicking, patriotic, oft-conservative lovers of professional wrestling sit with their cameras accessible and overpriced beer cups steady. Smackdown vs. Raw Delaye, Flair's Retirement, Jeff Hardy, Playboy, and more
2007-08-23 04:29:00 Extreme Expose may be doing a Playboy layout leading up to WrestleMania. Should help PPV Sales some.Jeff Hardy has been taken off the RAW Superstars Page. Maybe his suspension has been lengthened. I had read on other websites that he was expected to return around the 1st of the month. (Which also happens to be the being of Ladder Match Month here at my blog. Sorry, I just have to plug that in as much as possible.)Cyber Sunday may be getting cut. There has been a lot of talk about cutting a PPV, and it would most likely be this one. They would probably just change in though, and make it a 3 hour RAW with a similar concept.A WWE UK Territory will likely be starting. Nothing for sure yet though. In the Divas Battle Royal all the usual suspects will be competing along with Extreme Expose (who sometimes compete in tri-branded Diva matches), and Cherry. This will be Cherry's first ever match as she is usually just playing the role of Deuce's girlfriend.Article Continues BelowBec...

Great American Bash Reaction
2007-07-23 05:47:00 Have Smackdown's belts been rendered meaningless? Will Cena be champ for much longer? Will CM Punk no longer be the centerpiece of ECW? The answers...All titles except for the Cruiserweight Championship were retained at this years Great American Bash. Let's go match by match and see what each outcome entails:MVP def. Matt Hardy to retain U.S. Championship- MVP is a great champ and WWE recognizes his potential, so it's no surprise to see him get a clean win here. This feud could be a great one, though, so look for it to continue into SummerSlam for a rematch.Hornswaggle wins Cruiserweight Championship- Well, the Crusierweight belt hasn't meant that much in recent years, but it's probably reached a new low. It's not as bad as giving the Great Khali a world championship, but it's getting there. If anything, Hornswaggle at least brings more attention to the belt and it should be cool to see how this storyline is handled. Hornswaggle vs. Chavo at SummerSlam? Surely not......

RAW Reaction: This is Awesome
2007-06-19 05:10:00 All I can say is...Monday Night RAW quickly went form being a show with a lot of low points and obnoxiousness to being incredibly good. Let's review tonight's show:London and Kendrick debuted in an incredible match against Haas and Benjamin (as predicted, of course, in the RAW preview). They will revive the tag team division on RAW and continue to be one of the greatest tag teams of ALL TIME. Maybe better than even the Hardys???A Carlito-Sandman feud? This is awesome! I figured WWE would make the Sandman a jobber on RAW, and he may put Carlito over in this feud, but he has a great opportunity to push his popularity. This is the first time that he's really been exposed on the flagship show. And he was bleeding like crazy tonight!Daivari and Jeff Hardy had a great match tonight, and the Hardys-Cade and Murdoch feud continues to be a good one.Mick Foley vs. Umaga was sort of the low point of the show. I like Umaga's character, but they sure could use him a little better. H...

RAW Results
2007-06-05 04:26:00 Tonight's RAW was just plain odd: it didn't really create new story lines or feuds nor did it extend or improve upon those existing ones. Instead, it was a bizarre reactionary tale derived from patches of One Night Stand, Judgment Day, and Backlash. Two hours of matches I've already seen intertwined with an unusually long McMahon fit never sits well with me.During the initial Cena promo, I didn't even know what was going on. This was partially due to the fact that my girlfriend kept asking me when I was going to grow out of wrestling (answer: never), but I'm relatively sure that nothing important happened. It became obvious in the early goings that the night was going to be one of stagnation. I think that the WWE is afraid to do anything too drastic right before the draft.Cryme Tyme was back in action which I like to see (I guess they got better in the ring?) and had a nice match with Kenny and Nitro. Santino Marella was forced to put the belt on the line, which he did (a...

RAW Results
2007-05-29 04:46:00 As I predicted, a busy and forgettable pre-PPV RAW. The opening divas segment, which involved them shooting each other with water guns and sliding all around, was absolutely worthless. I watch RAW to see wrestling, not to see something I could probably witness any night of the week at school. This followed with Shane's discussion of his 2 on 3 match later that night and the announcement (many of you knew about this already) that the three hour RAW on June 11th will feature a tri-branded draft. Who will draft and which wrestlers will be eligible remains to be seen. The Irish Whip has done a few segments on this, including my award-winning column "The Invasion Is Dead" along with a more insightful version done by Jared (which I can't find right now). The 8 man tag (Hardys and Cade & Murdoch vs. World's Greatest and Kenny & Nitro) was good, but not great. Of course, it had its moments involving Jeff Hardy and Johnny Nitro, but it went on too long and ended with Shelton Benj...
