From what I have read, they have done nothing to attempt to soothe the pot of boiling racial tension that culminated in the beating of Justin Barker. In no way am I justifying the Jena Six's appalling behavior. In fact, I think they SHOULD serve some time in a juvenile detention facility as well as be made to attend anger management and racial tolerance classes. But jailed for attempted murder? uh-uh. This is an excessively trumped-up, racially-motivated charge that I don't blame all of these protesters for screaming about one little bit. READ ABOUT THIS HEREPractice non-violence in your lives.
