Peotone: Jesse Jackson Jr. needs to stay the hell out of Will County
2012-01-20 13:43:00
Will County Board Chairman Jim Moustis has had my vote before and will continue to get it so long as he stays tough on the “Peotone Problem.” Now, the reason I choose to call it a problem is quite simple – we don’t need that third airport in Peotone if airlines have repeatedly said they... Illinois 2nd District Voters Keep Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr Strong !
2011-05-26 06:33:00
DESPITE PUNDITS AND NEGATIVE MEDIA ANALYSIS, 2ND DISTRICT VOTERS KEEP CONGRESSMAN JESSE JACKSON JR STRONG !!   During the last 2010 elections, candidates who opposed Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr all proclaimed that the voters of the district were finally fed up with Jackson's representation, and that accompanied so many local and national media pundits who also proclaimed that "Jackson was in political trouble," and voters could not escape all the negative media attributed to Jackson's name in the Obama Senate seat scandal and the front page stories about his marital problems all aimed at setting the stage for voters to unseat Jackson. But then election day finally came and the voters of the 2nd District gave Jackson his largest voting victory...

2011-05-25 09:53:00
Rahm Emanuel and Cong.Jackson will be called today to testify in the Blagojevich retrial. This is a risk Rod Blagojevich wants to take, even though it could add to prison time for him. Most likely the testimony of Emanuel and Jackson will help Rod Blagojevich's defense.
Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. Attacks Apple iPad
2011-04-20 17:30:00
-By Warner Todd Huston Chicago area Congressman Jesse Jackson, Jr. is apparently as fickle as he is uninformed about economics and the Constitution both. In March we saw him praising the Apple iPad as technology so important that he wanted to have the federal government buy one for every American student. Only a month later he was calling the iPad a destroyer of American jobs. Talk about a whiplash inducing turn around. In March, Jackson was pleased to announce a brilliant idea to put a provision into the Constitution that gives every student an iPad and a laptop computer. After a week of ridicule, Rep. Jackson doubled down on that plan saying that the iPad had so fundamentally altered...

Jesse Jackson Jr., Hiding From Media Over Scandals
2010-12-27 14:30:00
-By Warner Todd Huston Jesse Jackson, Jr., was at one time one of those politicians that was on TV and radio as much as humanly possible. Like his father, it wasn't a good idea for one's personal safety to get between either Jackson and a TV camera or microphone. But since the end of 2008 Junior's media appearances have been relatively scarce. So what happened? At least two scandals can be identified to have worked to force Junior into hiding. First, and worst, was Jackson's connection to the scandal surrounding the arrest (and later conviction, and soon retrial) of former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich. As the facts about Blago's attempts to sell for personal gain Barack Obama's Senate seat came...

Jesse Jackson Jr. - Just A Chip Off The Old Block?
2010-09-23 08:36:00
Jesse Jackson Jr. - Just A Chip Off The Old Block? The latest controversy surrounding Jesse Jackson Jr. and Giovana Huidobro, his reported "social acquaintance," has had the local news media outlets buzzing since the story broke. Not only is this another possible House of Representatives ethics violation that will be investigated, it appears to me that this was a "shot over the bow" warning for Jesse Junior to knock off that arrogant game he has played. You just don't dare the U.S. Attorney to "Bring It On." That is about as smart as spitting into a gale force wind blowing straight at your face.
New Jesse Jackson Jr. Allegations of Ethics Violation, Sexual Affair
2010-09-21 22:52:00
-By Warner Todd Huston On the eave of the biggest rush to run for Chicago Mayor in recent memory, Jesse Jackson, Jr. has been hit with more allegations of being involved in a scheme to buy a Senate seat from disgraced Gov. Rod Blagojevich. Additionally, there is a hint that Jackson was involved with a woman flown several times to Chicago by a campaign contributor. An Indian-American businessman has told federal authorities that he was asked by Congressman Jackson to begin raising money for Rod Blagojevich so that Blago might appoint Jackson to the open Senate seat that Obama vacated when he took the White House in 2008. Shortly after Blagojevich's arrest on corruption charges in December 2008, the Chicago...

Blagojevich Verdict Watch While Lawyer Regrets Not Calling Jesse Jackson Jr. The Rod and Robert Blagojevich federal corruption trial verdict watch is intensifying. And there are regrets. Jesse Jackson's worn-out race baiting
2010-07-14 22:16:00
Jesse, it's no long 1973; give it up, you're getting boring. Here he is, listening to a speech at a 1973 Operation PUSH event at Chicago's McCormick Place with son Jesse Jackson Jr., now a Congressman. ribune photo by Gerald West / April 28, 1973 Chicago's very own Jesse L. Jackson Sr. already had turned himself into an embarrassing antiquity by stubbornly clinging to a worldview entirely colored by race. And now, by bringing race into the storm over pro basketball legend Lebron James' departure from the Cleveland Cavaliers, he has become, at best, quaint. Read more in The Chicago Daily Observer...
Jesse Jackson Criticizes Cleveland Owner For Slave Master Mentality

Jesse Jackson Criticizes Cleveland Owner For Slave Master Mentality The Reverend Jesse Jackson criticized Cleveland Cavalier owner Dan Gilbert by inferring the comments made by him personified a slave master mentality and viewing LeBron James as a "Runaway Slave." This of course was in response to Gilbert's open letter to Cleveland fans in which he called Lebron James' decision to leave a cowardly decision.
Contradictions Raise Questions About U.S. Representative Jesse Jackson Jr.
2010-07-11 06:49:00
Contradictions Raises Questions About U.S. Representative Jesse Jackson Jr. From the beginning of the Blagojevich Saga, U.S. Representative Jessie Jackson Jr. has denied that he was ever involved in the "pay to play" scheme for President Barack Obama's vacant U.S. Senate Seat. Yet, there are contradictions, at least in my mind, regarding Jackson's actions.

Scott Lee Cohen Reaching Out To Rev. Jesse Jackson and Jackson's Field
2010-07-07 11:32:00
Scott Lee Cohen and his Independent Campaign for Governor must be serious about his outreach to Black grassroots voters in that Cohen and his media director John Davis have met with me as a former Chicago and State Field Director for the Rev. Jesse L. Jackson Sr and The Rainbow/PUSH Coalition and Cohen himself has met personally with the Rev. Jesse L. Jackson Sr to state his case for why Jackson and Rainbow/PUSH supporters may welcome the candidacy of Cohen and his Lieutenant Governor running mate Baxter Twilley as live options over that of Incumbant Governor Pat Quinn whom Jackson as late as last Saturday's PUSH Broadcast and Press Conference has publicly challenged Governor Quinn over his silence on key...
Hayes Calls Jesse Jackson a Coward
2010-06-25 01:00:00
From the Hayes for Congress campaign (2nd District)... CHICAGO: Republican nominee for Illinois 2ndCongressional District Isaac Hayes released the following statement regarding the House Democrats delay of passing a budget resolution until after the November elections. "Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. needs to show some leadership in the House of Representatives and demand Nancy Pelosi pass a budget this year as the 1974 Budget and Impoundment Act requires. This will be the first time in nearly 40 years that the House has failed to pass a budget resolution. But Mr. Jackson won't stand up to Speaker Pelosi because he is part of the plot to hide the Democrats plan to raise taxes on working families after the November elections. There can...
Rep. Jesse Jackson Endorsing Republican Mark Kirk?
2010-05-25 15:00:00
-By Warner Todd Huston The final answer is, "no," Chicago-based Representative Jesse Jackson, Jr. is not endorsing a Republican to take Barack Obama's old Illinois U.S. Senate seat. But Jackson is making news by seeming to be toying with the idea of abandoning the troubled Democrat candidate, Alexi Giannoulias. And, in the end, that's all this is. It's Jesse Jackson, Jr. employing the ages old Chicago Democrat game of fishing for payoffs. The game goes like this: Long-time Democrat strong-man wants a pay off of one kind or another so he pretends he might support someone surprising, someone that isn't the expected pick. Party bigwigs rush to payoff said strong-man so that he will support the usual suspect. Strong-man gets...

The Anti-Jewish Bigot Jesse Jackson Supports Obama with Lies
2008-10-14 23:12:00
Jesse Jackson has long been one of the less appetizing major figures in US politics. He was long a recipient of millions in Federal govt funding for various projects allegedly meant to help the poor, whereas most of the money went to line his own pockets and buy him luxuries [such as, traveling to Europe on the Concorde for his family]. Yet he has been tolerated and treated kindly by the media. His apparent role in setting Martin Luther King up for assassination has been generally overlooked [see Jim Bishop's book on that assassination]. Nor did his vicious anti-Jewish comments place outside the pale of acceptable and accepted [salonfahig] politicians. Now, he has once again come out of the closet as an anti-Jewish bigot. He has embraced the Walt-Mearsheimer lie that Israel controls US foreign policy in the Middle East. I wonder how much money he gets from Saudi Arabia and/or other Arab sources for failing to mention Saudi influence, which was examined to some extent in the film Fa...

New Yorker, Jesse Jackson, Ralph Nader Use Racism Against Obama
2008-07-14 15:18:00
In this installment in my video series I discuss the New Yorker cartoon of Barack and Michelle Obama and how it compares to Jesse Jackson's "nuts" gaffe of last week (which I contend was not a gaffe and was a deliberate action), and Ralph Nader's most unfortunate statement that Senator Obama was "acting white." I feature New Yorker Editor David Remick's explaination of the creation and use of the cartoon, and provide commentary. I then explain that all three actions were examples of "jumping the shark" -- using race to get attention for their message, but doing nothing to improve the American condition in the process.
Jesse Jackson doesn't speak for me.
2008-07-10 15:15:00
Why is it Christian "leaders" so often seem to want the REST of us to follow precepts and/or adhere to standards of behavior that they don't apply to themselves?Have Reverend Jackson and Pastor Dobson jumped the shark?I'm glad Jesse Jackson apologized for his inappropriate language and that he's trying to do a bit of damage control. I know the media love dishing dirt and all this colorful talk (or in Jackson's case, "off color") of fruitcake and nuts, but like James Dobson before him, Jesse Jackson doesn't speak for me.read more | digg story

Al Sharpton's Extortion Plot
2008-05-21 17:30:00
Corrupt hypocritical thug Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson operate from the same blackmail playbook: they threaten to wreak havoc if corporations and other fearful rich don't pony up dough to line their pockets. To wit: "A longtime confidant of rapper Dr. Dre claims the Rev. Al Sharpton threatened to march on the hip-hop icon's recording studio unless he donated a half-million dollars to charity." NYP Hiphopdx.comSharpton denies he said "If you don't have $500,000, we marching." Sniffs Sharpton: "absurd."
An Identity For Obama
2008-05-06 15:37:00
What identity could Barack Obama choose that would be both sincere and successful? Not long ago, people were asking if Mr. Obama was “Black enough.” Somehow maybe even Bill Clinton was more Black than Senator Obama. Putz Butz
2008-02-03 23:03:00
Exited the planet: the Republican White House agriculture secretary fired for blabbing this to Bible-thumping crooner Pat Boone and Nixon resurrected Watergate rat John Dean: [Earl] Butz started by telling a dirty joke involving intercourse between a dog and a skunk. When the conversation turned to politics, Boone, a right-wing Republican, asked Butz why the party of Lincoln was not able to attract more blacks. The Secretary responded with a line so obscene and insulting to blacks that it forced him out of the Cabinet last week and jolted the whole Ford campaign. Butz said that "the only thing the coloreds are looking for in life are tight p-----, loose shoes and a warm place to s---." TIME mag 1976Dean leaked the airplane conversation to Rollling Stone. Given Earl Butz's penchant for biting off his dick it wasn't too hard to figure out the perp. God punished Butz by making him endure 98 years on this planet. The Rev. Al "ordained at nine" Sharpton was a 22-year-old college dropout...
Imus: Err Apparent Absolved
2008-02-03 21:58:00
"Imus has emerged, seemingly clean and in many ways whole, from a wash cycle administered with breathtaking velocity both inside the Beltway and out." Jacques Steinberg NYTVeteran CBS News guy and frequent Imus guest Bob Schieffer justifies Imus's redemption: ?It seems like in this age of instant communication, they fall faster and they rise faster. It used to be, before the Internet, it took a while for this stuff to get around. Now it goes around in a nanosecond. Maybe what we?re seeing is that it?s possible to come back just as quickly.?Like the mistress of an aging tycoon whose wife conveniently dies, Imus regulars were champing at the bit to reunite with their sugar daddy to pimp books, political spin, and their narcissistic selves. Newsweek regulars are still grounded and not allowed to come out and play. Corrupt, hypocritical, sleazy greasy opportunist Al Sharpton tells The Times: "We were not trying to destroy Imus."
The Miseducation of the Negro Revisited
2008-02-03 04:54:00
Its amazing how a book written in 1933 about the destruction of Black Americans is still freshly applicable today. Amazing, and embarrasing. Many say that we as Black Americans are getting better, but the problems that plagued us almost 100 years ago persist today.  The Miseducation of the Negro, written by Dr. Carter Woodson, described how the plight of our people at the time was the result of a process of miseducation imposed upon us by our oppressors (see: white people). For instance "At a Negro summer school two years ago, a white instructor gave a course on the Negro, using for his text a work that teaches whites are superior to blacks", and "In medical schools Negroes were likewise convinced of their inferiority in being reminded of their role as germ carriers". He believed this miseducation led to our poor state of affairs.  Today, there are a few key points that jumped out at me as being particularly applicable.  1933: "We have long had the belief that the Neg...

Fox News Chyron this a.m. on fed-up Barack Obama with ex-prez liar-liar-pants-on-fire. Obama made a strategic decision to take on shrill Bill himself in an exclusive sit-down with "Good Morning America's" Robin Roberts. Bill's habitual "advocacy" for Hillary is "troubling" and he needs to be "confronted." ABC News Video teaser Hillaryspin:"Both Barack and I are blessed to have strong, passionate spouses." (cackle, cackle)Was the Clinton strategy to bait Obama into blowing his stack? Jesse Jackson on Fox & Friends moments ago charges Bill Clinton has "nothing to complain about" after Hillary won. Jesse: Obama should've given the attack dog role to a "surrogate." "He gets off his hope message." Snark of the Day: Jesse Jackson Jr.
2008-01-10 01:47:00
We saw something very clever in the last week of this campaign coming out of Iowa, going into New Hampshire, we saw a sensitivity factor. Something that Mrs. Clinton has not been able to do with voters that she tried in New Hampshire. Not in response to voters — not in response to Katrina, not in response to other issues that have devastated the American people, the war in Iraq, we saw tears in response to her appearance. So her appearance brought her to tears, but not Hurricane Katrina Jesse Jackson, Jr, via Michelle Malkin.

CNN Listening? - Jesse Jackson Jr. Publically Tells Jackson Sr. He's Wrong
2007-12-03 15:13:00
When the Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. openly criticized the Democratic Candidates for forgetting about African Americans, it was taken as a slam against Senator Barack Obama by CNN and others, including me. In fact, CNN did not waste time reporting this. Now, one week later, Jackson's son, Jesse Jr. comes out publically to tell the World that his father's wrong about Obama. He did this in the Monday Chicago Sun Times. Read below and let's see if CNN is quick to report this. If so, they're being fair. If not, it's another sign that they're trying to help Senator Clinton.
