Jesse Jackson On Joe Biden; Barack Obama v. John McCain
2008-08-28 19:48:00
This is my interview with The Rev. Jesse Jackson who talked about Senator Joe Biden's speech, and the impact of Senator Barack Obama's Presidential Run on America and American History.
Fox: Jackson used N-word in crude off-air remarks
2008-07-17 01:12:00
CHICAGO (AP) - The Rev. Jesse Jackson used the N-word during a break in a TV interview where he criticized presidential candidate Barack Obama, Fox News confirmed Wednesday. The longtime civil rights leader already came under fire this month for crude off-air comments he made against Obama in what he thought was a private conversation during ...
New Yorker, Jesse Jackson, Ralph Nader Use Racism Against Obama
2008-07-14 15:18:00
In this installment in my video series I discuss the New Yorker cartoon of Barack and Michelle Obama and how it compares to Jesse Jackson's "nuts" gaffe of last week (which I contend was not a gaffe and was a deliberate action), and Ralph Nader's most unfortunate statement that Senator Obama was "acting white." I feature New Yorker Editor David Remick's explaination of the creation and use of the cartoon, and provide commentary. I then explain that all three actions were examples of "jumping the shark" -- using race to get attention for their message, but doing nothing to improve the American condition in the process.
Jesse Jackson doesn't speak for me.
2008-07-10 15:15:00
Why is it Christian "leaders" so often seem to want the REST of us to follow precepts and/or adhere to standards of behavior that they don't apply to themselves?Have Reverend Jackson and Pastor Dobson jumped the shark?I'm glad Jesse Jackson apologized for his inappropriate language and that he's trying to do a bit of damage control. I know the media love dishing dirt and all this colorful talk (or in Jackson's case, "off color") of fruitcake and nuts, but like James Dobson before him, Jesse Jackson doesn't speak for me.read more | digg story
Rainbow Push Coalition Update: Reverend Without A Church, Jesse Jackson, Ex
2008-07-10 06:32:00
Hard Right-Winger, Sean Hannity of FoxNews “Surprisingly” Defends Jesse Jackson’s Right To Free Speech When One Thinks One’s Microphone Is No Longer “Hot” On Hannity And Colmes While Dodging Bullets From Fellow Neocons Hey, folks — I enjoyed watching world-famous “Bush Boot-Licker”, Sean Hannity, going to great lengths for the very first time in his life to vocally take his fellow “Bush Boot-Licker Crowd” head-on tonight on Faux-Nooz’s Hannity And Colmes over the third-most famous “reverend without a church” (First Place: Al Sharpton; Second Place goes to Jeremiah Wright). The [YOU are a] “Great American” crowd’s [in]famous CULT hero, “The Seanster”, was defending the racist “Churchless Reverend”, Jesse Jackson, for his inappropriate comments concerning his veiled threat of a bit of “snippage“ (Courtesy of Drudge; H/T to MemeOrandum) in the gene...
Rev. Jesse Jackson Caught Bad-Mouthing Obama

Reverend Apologizes For Remarks Caught On Microphone During Fox Interview CHICAGO (CBS)  The Rev. Al Sharpton's Extortion Plot
2008-05-21 17:30:00
Corrupt hypocritical thug Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson operate from the same blackmail playbook: they threaten to wreak havoc if corporations and other fearful rich don't pony up dough to line their pockets. To wit: "A longtime confidant of rapper Dr. Dre claims the Rev. Al Sharpton threatened to march on the hip-hop icon's recording studio unless he donated a half-million dollars to charity." NYP Hiphopdx.comSharpton denies he said "If you don't have $500,000, we marching." Sniffs Sharpton: "absurd."
Hip Hop 4 Prez: WTF?! Racist Secret Service Agents Joke About Jesse Jackson
2008-05-11 16:00:00
In 2000 several African American Secret Service agents filed a discrimination suit against the government agency claiming that they were unfairly denied promotions because of their race. While the case has lingered on for years, investigators recently uncovered a series of emails from top agents that highlight that the "Men in Black" might not be all that nice to men (or women) who are black. Not only did top agents frequently email racially insensitive jokes, but there was even one message that was passed around that kidded around about Jesse Jackson's plane getting shot down by a missile. An Identity For Obama
2008-05-06 15:37:00
What identity could Barack Obama choose that would be both sincere and successful? Not long ago, people were asking if Mr. Obama was “Black enough.” Somehow maybe even Bill Clinton was more Black than Senator Obama. Once Senator Obama established his color, he then had to figure out how to present himself as a candidate who is also a Black man in ...
Jesse Jackson - Quote
2008-05-01 17:33:00
I've been busy for the last couple days, so here is a quote for ya."There is nothing more painful to me at this stage in my life,? Jesse Jackson once told an audience, ?than to walk down the street and hear footsteps and start thinking about robbery--then look around and see somebody white and feel relieved.?Have a nice day!

Putz Butz
2008-02-03 23:03:00
Exited the planet: the Republican White House agriculture secretary fired for blabbing this to Bible-thumping crooner Pat Boone and Nixon resurrected Watergate rat John Dean: [Earl] Butz started by telling a dirty joke involving intercourse between a dog and a skunk. When the conversation turned to politics, Boone, a right-wing Republican, asked Butz why the party of Lincoln was not able to attract more blacks. The Secretary responded with a line so obscene and insulting to blacks that it forced him out of the Cabinet last week and jolted the whole Ford campaign. Butz said that "the only thing the coloreds are looking for in life are tight p-----, loose shoes and a warm place to s---." TIME mag 1976Dean leaked the airplane conversation to Rollling Stone. Given Earl Butz's penchant for biting off his dick it wasn't too hard to figure out the perp. God punished Butz by making him endure 98 years on this planet. The Rev. Al "ordained at nine" Sharpton was a 22-year-old college dropout...
Imus: Err Apparent Absolved
2008-02-03 21:58:00
"Imus has emerged, seemingly clean and in many ways whole, from a wash cycle administered with breathtaking velocity both inside the Beltway and out." Jacques Steinberg NYTVeteran CBS News guy and frequent Imus guest Bob Schieffer justifies Imus's redemption: ?It seems like in this age of instant communication, they fall faster and they rise faster. It used to be, before the Internet, it took a while for this stuff to get around. Now it goes around in a nanosecond. Maybe what we?re seeing is that it?s possible to come back just as quickly.?Like the mistress of an aging tycoon whose wife conveniently dies, Imus regulars were champing at the bit to reunite with their sugar daddy to pimp books, political spin, and their narcissistic selves. Newsweek regulars are still grounded and not allowed to come out and play. Corrupt, hypocritical, sleazy greasy opportunist Al Sharpton tells The Times: "We were not trying to destroy Imus."
The Miseducation of the Negro Revisited
2008-02-03 04:54:00
Its amazing how a book written in 1933 about the destruction of Black Americans is still freshly applicable today. Amazing, and embarrasing. Many say that we as Black Americans are getting better, but the problems that plagued us almost 100 years ago persist today.  The Miseducation of the Negro, written by Dr. Carter Woodson, described how the plight of our people at the time was the result of a process of miseducation imposed upon us by our oppressors (see: white people). For instance "At a Negro summer school two years ago, a white instructor gave a course on the Negro, using for his text a work that teaches whites are superior to blacks", and "In medical schools Negroes were likewise convinced of their inferiority in being reminded of their role as germ carriers". He believed this miseducation led to our poor state of affairs.  Today, there are a few key points that jumped out at me as being particularly applicable.  1933: "We have long had the belief that the Neg...
Bill Clinton Compares Obama To Jesse Jackson
2008-01-28 16:07:00
After Presidential Candidate, Barack Obama won Sotuh Carolina, Bill Clinton compared Obama's campaign to Jessie Jackson's campaign back in the 80's. Check out what ABC News reported:Said Bill Clinton in Columbia, SC:"Jesse Jackson won South Carolina in '84 and '88. Jackson ran a good campaign. And Obama ran a good campaign here."SHAMELESS HYPE OPINION:Eventhough we are endorsing Obama for President, we have love for the Clintons as well, but Bill is putting his relationship with Blacks on the line for his wife. If you haven't noticed lately, Bill has been making some comments that has had blacks questioning how DOWN he really is with us as a race.

Fox News Chyron this a.m. on fed-up Barack Obama with ex-prez liar-liar-pants-on-fire. Obama made a strategic decision to take on shrill Bill himself in an exclusive sit-down with "Good Morning America's" Robin Roberts. Bill's habitual "advocacy" for Hillary is "troubling" and he needs to be "confronted." ABC News Video teaser Hillaryspin:"Both Barack and I are blessed to have strong, passionate spouses." (cackle, cackle)Was the Clinton strategy to bait Obama into blowing his stack? Jesse Jackson on Fox & Friends moments ago charges Bill Clinton has "nothing to complain about" after Hillary won. Jesse: Obama should've given the attack dog role to a "surrogate." "He gets off his hope message." Although Jesse danced like a cowboy dodging bullets aimed at his feet, he did say "the risk that Bill Clinton has taken is offending people who are loyal to him." He was asked about Bill blowback that Las Vegas culinary workers (the union endorsed Barack) supporting Hillary were forced t...

Snark of the Day: Jesse Jackson Jr.
2008-01-10 01:47:00
We saw something very clever in the last week of this campaign coming out of Iowa, going into New Hampshire, we saw a sensitivity factor. Something that Mrs. Clinton has not been able to do with voters that she tried in New Hampshire. Not in response to voters — not in response to Katrina, not in response to other issues that have devastated the American people, the war in Iraq, we saw tears in response to her appearance. So her appearance brought her to tears, but not Hurricane Katrina Jesse Jackson, Jr, via Michelle Malkin.

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson Joke

The Reverends Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, while visiting a primary school class, found themselves in the middle of a discussion related to words and their meanings. The teacher asked both men if they would like to lead the discussion of the word “tragedy”. So the illustrious Rev Jackson asks the class for an example of ...

Jesse Jackson Takes On Foreclosures
2007-12-04 17:50:00
The Rev. Jesse Jackson, Sr., has taken up a lot of crusades in his lifetime. These days, Rev. Jackson is focusing his attention on homeowners who are in danger of having their homes foreclosed. As you may have heard, U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson announced last week that the mortgage industry was working with the ...
CNN Listening? - Jesse Jackson Jr. Publically Tells Jackson Sr. He's Wrong
2007-12-03 15:13:00
When the Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. openly criticized the Democratic Candidates for forgetting about African Americans, it was taken as a slam against Senator Barack Obama by CNN and others, including me. In fact, CNN did not waste time reporting this. Now, one week later, Jackson's son, Jesse Jr. comes out publically to tell the World that his father's wrong about Obama. He did this in the Monday Chicago Sun Times. Read below and let's see if CNN is quick to report this. If so, they're being fair. If not, it's another sign that they're trying to help Senator Clinton. Jesse Jr. to Jesse Sr.: You're wrong on Obama, dadDecember 3, 2007During his historic run for the presidency in 1984, the Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. was dubbed ''Thunder'' by the Secret Service agents assigned to protect him. It was a fitting name for Jackson, whose electrifying oratory, energy and intellect shed light on critical issues as he took the country by storm. In his column on Tuesday, ''Thu...
Emailed Letter To Reverend Jesse Jackson On Barack Obama
2007-11-27 20:39:00
Greetings Rev. Jackson,I've grown up in Chicago -- first at 7427 Wentworth and then 7908 Kimbark -- and now live in Oakland, CA. I have long been an admirers of yours, but I'm confused and dismayed by your column in the SunTimes. Here: http://www.suntimes.com/news/ja-ckson/668053,CST-EDT-JESSE27.ar-ticle Why do you continue to make statements that publications like The Huffington Post use against Senator Barack Obama? Also, you know Barack's the first African American cadidate who can win. He's ahead in Iowa in many polls and since many polls are rigged has a bigger advantage than you've seen. Thus your column, though I doubt it has much impact, seems timed to hurt him. Why? Why are you trying to wreck our first real chance to -- by having an African American candidate as President -- end racism as we know it?Why do you work to deny young African Americans the chance to see someone who looks like them in the position of Commander in Chief? What's the deal? Why do you se...

HRC?s Joe Solmonese Joins Jesse Jackson on Jena 6
2007-09-27 01:29:00
Given how busy I’ve been these past few weeks, I haven’t had much time to focus on the case of the “Jena 6.” While it does seem that the District Attorney there was a little overzealous in prosecuting six black teens accused of assaulting a white peer, there’s no doubt these adolescents beat up ...
Jesse Jackson says Barak Obama ?acting like he?s white?
2007-09-23 00:00:00

Jesse Jackson Acting White Comment
2007-09-20 19:16:00
Story here: When people pile-on, I like to step back, take a look at the situation, and coldly calculate exactly what size pile the individual or group merits. In this case, Jesse deserves about three full loads. First, I don't think that Jackson was upset because Obama didn't say "dyn-o-mite" or prefered Mozart to 50 Cent. Jesse Jackson simply meant that Obama wasn't supporting issues of special interest to blacks. To be precise: Obama failed to address "the case of six black kids arrested on attempted murder charges in Jena, La." => Read more!
Barack Obama's Statements On Jena 6 - Jesse Jackson Jr. Helped Obama
2007-09-20 18:26:00
Barack Obama Statements on Jena 6CHICAGO, IL ? U.S. Senator Barack Obama released the following three statements on the Jena 6. September 19, 2007 | Obama Statement on the Jena 6 "Outrage over an injustice like the Jena 6 isn't a matter of black and white. It's a matter of right and wrong. We should stand as one nation in opposition to this and any injustice. That?s why I?ve previously spoken out and demanded fairness in the Jena 6 case. That's why I've fought against injustice as a civil rights attorney and public official, and why I'll continue to fight to heal the wounds of division in our nation as president. My statements on Jena 6 were carefully thought out with input and support from one of my National Campaign Chairmen, U.S. Congressman Jesse Jackson Jr." September 14, 2007 | Obama Statement on the Jena 6 "I am pleased that the Louisiana state appeals court recognized that the aggravated battery charge brought in this case was inappropriate. I hope that today's ...
Jesse Jackson Says Barack Obama 'Acting White'
2007-09-20 15:21:00
Jesse Jackson reportedly ripped presidential candidate Barack Obama for "acting like he's white," according to The State newspaper in South Carolina, but the civil rights leader says he doesn't recall making any such comment.
Jesse Jackson: Barack Obama is not black enough
2007-09-20 05:10:00
I cannot say for sure what Martin Luther King would say about his one time protégé Jesse Jackson or what the civil rights movement has brought to his people after 40 years. What would Martin Luther King think of the condition of the black family structure, once the envy of the nation? What would Martin Luther King think of the strutting gold encrusted rappers and professional athletes? Would Martin Luther King say it was ok for blacks to call each other ‘nigger’ or the women 'ho's'? Somehow, I doubt it. And what exactly is the point of Jesse Jackson saying that Barack Obama is not black enough? Then later he does not even remember making the comment. It is kind of sobering to see the way he tosses around such horrific personal attacks so casually that he does not even remember them a few hours later. I can tell you why Barack Obama scares Jesse Jackson. Barack Obama has succeeded in “the white mans world” the same as Colin Powell, Clarence Thomas, Tiger Woods, Condi Rice ...

More Morrissey Madness
2007-07-20 23:05:00
You may have thought Chicago Tribune columnist Rick Morrissey was gone, but even so, he was never forgotten. Turns out he wasn't gone, either. In fact, Rick is making his triumphant return to the BTL stage right now, with an article which demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of segregation's effect on competitive balance in baseball: The Rev. Jesse Jackson had some interesting thoughts the other day about Barry Bonds' pursuit of baseball's all-time home-run record, but one statement stood out. Talking about the cloud of steroid allegations hanging over Bonds, Jackson said that if Major League Baseball is going to start putting asterisks in its record book, a lot of players should have asterisks by their names. And what was the good Reverend's rationale?"My question is if 400 guys tested positive, do you put asterisks by all their names?" Jackson told the Sun-Times. "Do you put asterisks by [spitballer] Gaylord Perry's name? Do you put asterisks by guys who had the ulti...

Jesse Jackson arrested for not observing the law.
2007-06-25 04:19:00
Jesse Jackson Arrested?   June 24, 2007   Jesse Jackson was arrested Saturday while protesting outside of a local gun shop in South Chicago.   The charge was one count of criminal trespass. When asked, Jackson refused to move away from the entrance to Chuck's Gun Shop in Riverdale. For the last several weeks, Jackson has been protesting with others in the community after a 16 year old honor student was shot on a city bus.   The police have said that the shooting was gang-related and that the teen was not the intended target. However, Jackson says that because the shop is so close to Chicago that it provides gangs to easier access to guns.   If you look at the preceding carefully and take into consideration the content, you can see that Jackson is either simply ignorant of the current laws set forth in America on firearms, or he?s just causing trouble for a small shop owner for no reason.    The fact is, to buy a firearm from a legitimate dealer,...

Al Sharpton: Racist Anti-Semite (and so is Jesse Jackson)
