2007-04-18 00:40:00 This is Joan Armatrading. Yesterday night she played the Amsterdam Paradiso. The picture kinda shocked me. What happened to the vital young women that stood on the covers of legendary albums like Me Myself I or the odd cover of her first A&M compilation Track Record with her standing on the piano. I'm afraid that woman is almost gone for good. In some songs there was a glimpse of what she once was capable of, but most of them lacked it completely. I think that's why her new album is called: Into the Blues. Joan's got the blues and she's got it bad.
