2007-12-25 07:38:00 The release of UTV Motion Pictures and Ashutosh Gowariker's epic romance Jodhaa Akbar starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been postponed to 15 February 2008. The soundtrack composed by A.R Rahman will release on 9 January through UTV's new record label UTV Music.The movie was earlier slated to release on 28 January, 2008. That?s not all, UTV has plans of releasing the two versions extensively in these two markets. But its shooting finally got over with the filming of an elaborate song that was shot for about 13 days at Nitin Desai?s studios in Karjat.Aishwarya Rai , who returned from the US a few weeks back, had been participating in the shooting of the song along with her co-star Hrithik Roshan .Titled ?Azeem O Shah, Shahenshah?, the song featured about one thousand dancers in traditional costumes, wielding swords and shields.Given the enormous scale of the song, the choreographers ? 2007-11-04 04:20:00 Ashuto sh Gowariker's long-awaited 'Jodhaa Akbar' went under the knife, again, because the movie is just too long. At present, the new version has two songs edited out, one of which was a qawwali sung by AR Rehman, the music director for the movie.According to a source, every scene in the movie is important, and Gowariker did not want the flow to suffer. Therefore, the lavishly shot songs had to go. "It was a very good idea to have a qawwali, as it was a traditional aspect in the lives of kings. It was difficult for Ashutosh, but he also asked for Rehman's take on the decision, and chopped the songs off only when Rehman agreed," the source adds. The songs will be added in the DVD of the movie. Apparently, Aishwarya Rai wanted to use it in one of her upcoming movies, but Gowariker may not agree.Gowariker has a reputation for making long movies.
