2008-02-25 07:18:00 NEW DELHI: UTV Motion Pictures, producers of the Hrithik Roshan-Aishwarya Rai-starrer 'Jodhaa-Akbar', on Saturday said they have moved the Madhya Pradesh High Court to lift the ban on screening of the film in the state. "We will take the matter to the Supreme Court if need be," a UTV official said in a statement. The entire film industry, including producers, distributors and exhibitors are up in arms against the state government's order for suspension of the screening of the film, it said. "In fact, the MP exhibitors association has threatened to go on an indefinite strike if this arbitrary ruling is not reversed," it added. The authorities cannot let a small group of individuals dictate what is or is not acceptable for the general public, the official said.

Summary Reaction - Gowariker's focus on detail with elaborate sets and great script doesnt make up for the fact that the whole movie is a tad too long, too boring; guessing the denouement is a no-brainer. A group of people also vandalised a single-screen cinema hall, screening the movie, in Naroda area of the city on Sunday. ?Most of the multiplexes have temporarily stopped screening of the film after a group of around 25 persons came to all the multiplexes and warned against screening the film,?
