2007-12-17 22:48:00 Growing up I always heard the expression "better late than never." Well on Sunday, Hall of Fame NFL quarterback Joe Namath put that expression to the test. The aging Namath returned to the University of Alabama where he spent three years as an undergrad 42 years ago. Namath was on campus to attend his own graduation. That’s right - Broadway Joe is officially a college graduate. There is a lot that can be said about Joe Namath, a good portion of which is negative. However, as someone who believes that everyone should attend and complete college I have to commend Namath on his efforts. It took him over forty years, and one Super Bowl appearance, and several botched television interviews but he got the job done. Congratulations Joe, you made it. -Dumont
