Question Of The Day — Why Do Both Barry Obama And Panama John McCain
2008-07-09 22:03:00 Democratic And Republican Politicians Unite Against 4th Amendment Civil Liberty And The Prosecution Of Felonious Criminals In The White House As Glenn Greenwald of Salon points out, none of the above is “opinion” or “rhetoric” — it’s an absolute FACT that President “Surge” W. Bush, Dick “Shotgun” Cheney and their buddies have all but admitted their involvement in muliple, prosecutable felonies under FISA law. A quick snippet, courtesy of Glenn: Today’s coverup of surveillance crimes and Barack Obama What we learned in December, 2005 that George Bush and the telecoms were doing — listening in on the private conversations of American citizens without warrants — is a felony under clear U.S. law, punishable by up to 5 years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine for each offense. Anyone can go read the section of FISA — right here — that says that as clearly as can be: A person is guilty of an offense if...

Panama John McCain Accuses Barry Obama Of Coordinating “Attacks&rdquo
2008-07-01 23:52:00 Señor McCain Seems To Be Using Reverse Psychology To Emphasize His Military Service Over Barry O-Obomber’s Lack Of Same That’s right, folks — Panama John McCain is HINTING Barack Obama is such a powerful man, he can put words into the mouths of such opinionated gentlemen as James Webb and Wesley Clark and pull their strings as if they are his marionettes. Whatever Barry THINKS, he can will others to say, and the proverbial “buck” stops right at his doorstep when guys like Wesley Clark (shot four times in combat in Vietnam) and James Webb (former Secretary of The Navy) step up to point out the FACT that one’s Honorable Service in the United States military does not “ENTITLE” them to a cushy seat in the coveted (for some strange reason) Oval Office. As far as I know, only the KOOKS out there have said anything derogatory about Señor McCain’s military service and his horrifying experience as a POW during Vietnam. Silver Star and...
Survey: Best Choice For John McCain’s Running Mate Is Colin Powell.
2008-07-01 01:58:00 Democrats And Republicans Alike Cry Out For A Colin Powell Vice Presidency H/T goes to Fark Politics… The big news in the blogosphere today is all about General Wesley Clark and Senator Panama John McCain taking potshots at each other for their military records. Fine — if you want to keep up with that one, go to MemeOrandum for the latest. As far as I am concerned, BOTH of these guys are military war heros and they’ve earned the right to voice their opinions on whether or not flying around in an airplane and getting shot down earns one the RIGHT to be the president or in the case of the former, getting shot four times and earning both the Silver and Bronze Stars in combat earns one the RIGHT to criticize the guy who got shot down and incarcerated as a Prisoner of War (for acronym lovers, “P.O.W.”). Meanwhile, there is all sorts of “inside talk” also going on about who will be the ONLY U.S. Senator in this nation’s history to be bo...
Panama John McCain And Wife Cindy Caught Red-Handed In Property Tax Scandal
2008-06-29 06:34:00 Would-Be President And First Lady McCain Quickly Write A Check When Caught By The Authorities; $1,742.00 In Taxes Remain Unpaid And Overdue While I understand taxes, I despise taxes and hate paying them when I feel I’m not getting a bang for my buck. MANY of us feel that way. On the other hand, if I were to run for the presidency like Señor Panama John McCain has, I think I’d find a way to make damned certain they were paid in full. Either that, or I’d take the opposite approach and say something to the order of, “Damned RIGHT I didn’t pay those property taxes and I ain’t gonna. It’s highway robbery and I’m not gettin’ my bang for the buck. Folks, this is exactly what is wrong with America. ” But that’s not the way Cindy and Panama John McCain chose to deal with a lawfully issued tax bill for the McCains… at all. Instead of choosing to pay their tax bills or legally dispute them, the McCain’s cho...

John McCain on Energy Security and Our National Security VIDEO
2008-06-24 21:01:00 ARLINGTON, VA -- U.S. Senator John McCain delivered the following remarks as prepared for delivery at a town hall meeting in Fresno, CA, June 23 at 10:00 a.m. PDT (1:00 p.m. EDT):Thank you all very much. I appreciate the kind introduction from Jim Woolsey, and the warm welcome to Fresno State. I'm here to listen about energy issues as well as to talk. So let me just offer a few ideas before we begin our discussion. All across this state and nation, people are hurting because the price of gasoline is higher than it should be, and more than many folks can afford. Because of far-off events in the world oil market, a barrel of oil has more than doubled in a year. And the bad effects of that are spreading across our economy. The cost of business is rising, the cost of food and other essentials is rising, the whole cost of living is rising. What isn't rising is the value of your paychecks and the rate of America's economic growth. Back in the 1970's, they used to call this "stagflati...

John McCain Upset With Barack Obama’s Decision To Save Taxpayers Tens
2008-06-19 13:47:00 The Nation’s First Panamanian-Born Presidential Candidate, Señor John McCain, Who Has Readily Chosen To Accept $84M (USD) Of Hard-Earned Taxpayer Dollars Is Miffed At Barry O-bomber’s Decision To Spend Private Donations Instead Eighty-four million dollars can feed and clothe a lot of hungry American children. Or, those funds, involuntarily hijacked from the paychecks of American workers to ram Barack Obama and John McCain’s mugs, words and pontifications down our throats for the next few months. Señor McCain has chosen to force me to pay for him to annoy the hell out of me for awhile; Barry has decided to spare me. Señor McCain’s not happy with Barry’s decision to leave tens of millions of our taxpayer dollars in the bank. But, HEY — this guy is suppose to be a “conservative”. RIGHT. What Kind of Guy Would Call His Wife the C-Word? John McCain, of Course
2008-06-19 09:34:00 In The Real McCain by author, Cliff Schechter, John McCain called his wife Cindy the C-word (female body part that when used to label a woman in your presence is sure to get you smacked, broken up with, or divorced. One word to never say if you care anything about a relationship with a woman. Never.) Apparently, Cindy was toying with a strand of McCain's hair and remarked that his hair was thinning. Then, according to MomLogic: McCain's face reddened, and he responded, ?At least I don't plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you c*nt.? Whoa. Cindy just gave an embarrassed smile and remained silent, and the other people in the bus didn't say anything, either, Schechter tells momlogic. Everyone was utterly speechless. The other people on the bus were two aides and three reporters. Best way to keep a secret when showing the other side of your nether regions is to say it in front of reporters. Why does this bother me? No man would call me this word?in private, much less in public?a...

Barack Obama's Leads John McCain In Virginia 47 % to 45 %
2008-06-18 15:46:00 According to Talking Points Memo, Senator Barack Obama's ahead of John McCain by 2 points as of this writing, 47 percent to 45 percent. Personally, I think this is too close for comfort and would be happier with a seven point poll spread. Obama still has work to do here. Either Webb or Clinton or Edwards as the VP choice would help. I still think it's going to be Clinton as the pick.
Bob Barr Challenges John McCain to Debate “Worst” Supreme Court Decisio
2008-06-17 05:27:00 Bob Barr Challenges John McCain to Debate “Worst” Supreme Court Decision June 17th, 2008 Posted in Bob Barr | No Comments » From the Bob Barr 2008 Campaign: Barr Says Decision a Victory for Rule of Law, Constitution Atlanta, GA — “The U.S. Supreme Court affirmed the importance of the ancient writ of habeas corpus, one of the bedrock guarantees of American liberty,” says Bob Barr, the Libertarian Party candidate for president. The procedure, which predates America’s founding in British legal tradition, forces the government to justify an arrest in court. However, Sen. John McCain called the decision “one of the worst decisions in the history of this country.” That is quite charge given a legal history that includes Supreme Court opinions such as Dred Scott, observes Barr. “The Court’s habeas corpus decision was a victory for all Americans more than any particular litigant, since it affirmed the duty of the executive branch to obey the law,” Barr explains. The...

2008-06-15 00:31:00 Barack Obama Promises To Bust A Cap In John McCain’s “Cracker Assed Cracker Butt” Should The Latter Choose To Select A Knife As His Choice Of Weapon In General Election Debates Once upon a time, a cute little bouncing baby boy was born in the sovereign nation of Panama. His parents named him “John”. We all know the rest of the story: he later migrated to the United States of America, joined the military, fought in the Vietnam War, heroically captured by the enemy, endured torture for years at their hands. Later, this great man relocated to the Great State of Arizona, and became the ONLY Panamanian-born U.S. Senator in the history of the USA. From there, Señor McCain’s lust for power led him to run for the presidency, despite questions of his eligibility due to the Constitutional MANDATE that ALL presidential candidates are “natural born Citizens” of the United States of America. “Panama John” wasn’t actually BO...

2008-06-11 19:58:00 “The guy must have Alzheimers or something”, says J.F. Kerry (Paraphrased) Look — let’s be honest about it. Señor Panama John McCain made a comment to NBC’s Today Show today where he claimed it is “not too important” when the troops come home from Iraq. John F. Kerry and other windsurfing elitists just took that one sentence, left out all of the other sentences in Señor McCain’s point and ran with it. “John McCain should be ashamed of himself”, they are saying. “Of COURSE it’s important to bring our troops back home”, they are shrieking. 2008-06-11 19:23:00 ARLINGTON, VA -- U.S. Senator John McCain delivered the following remarks as prepared for delivery at the NFIB & eBay 2008 National Small Business Summit in Washington, D.C.,Thank you very much. I appreciate the hospitality of the National Federation of Independent Business. And I am honored to be in the company of so many men and women who represent the best of American enterprise.I have never run a small, struggling enterprise -- unless you count my presidential campaign last year. But I do know that more than anything else, small businesses are what make the American economy run. You're the ones who take the risks, often with little start-up money and nothing to fall back on. You are the ones who do most of the innovating in this country, and most of the hiring, too. For women, for immigrants and for people of every background, small businesses are the path to success and to the American dream. In this very tough time for our economy and for workers and families across our co...

John McCain, Canonhead Diplomacy
2008-06-09 18:42:00 After eight years of Bush-Cheney diplomacy, the result which has been pretty much everyone on planet earth hating us, along comes hop-a-long McSame pledging to continue these same failed policies. Here's a guy who's been to Iraq eight times, and still can't get it right. He thinks an Iraqi neighborhood is safe as long as he's wearing a bullet proof vest, has a hundred soldiers guarding him, and several military helicopters hovering overhead for good measure. He doesn't even know the difference between a Sunni or a Shia Arab, a gaffe he repeated more than once with regards to this 1400 year old tribal war. While no one belittles his unfortunate captivity in the Hanoi Hilton where he was subjected to five and a half years of torture, we do have to wonder how he can claim this experience somehow sharpened his foreign policy creds. The guy was locked up while being tortured for gawd's sake. This begs the question, considering the inhumane treatment he received, how he could have ca...

Why I Can?t Vote For John McCain

Questions for John McCain about WMD Deceptions
2008-06-07 23:28:00 As is well known, the Senate Select Committee last week issued a long-awaited report which found that President Bush and VP Cheney exaggerated and misrepresented intelligence information about WMD in Iraq, to fire up America's war on Iraq. Some commentators have called for Bush and Cheney's impeachment. That would indeed be justified - not only because of the deception, but the fundamental unconstitutionality of an undeclared war - but I'm wondering what John McCain's response is to all of this.He says he opposes the way the war was waged, at first.Does he also oppose the way the war was gotten into, via a President and Vice President deliberately misrepresenting facts to the American people?Would McCain be in favor of Bush and Cheney's impeachment? If not, why not? Is it ok in his book to go to war based on lies? The media should press McCain on this point.listen to Light On Light Through podcast also iTunes Paul Levinson's books

John McCain Picks Vice President
2008-06-07 20:57:00 John McCain Chooses Justin Long as Running Mate. "He reminds me of me when I was young and hip, John McCain shocked the political world today by picking Justin Long as his running mate. McCain first noticed Long while he was watching "Reba" about five months ago in a Mac commercial. "He talks to that stiff shirt like I talk to uptight senators in debates," McCain said in a press conference. "He is so cool" McCain then did an air high five. Long was also surprised by the Senators move, and had no prior knowledge that an election was going on. McCain's decision comes on the heels of increasing GOP concerns about his mental health. Recently he has been quoting the Christopher Walken monologue from "Pulp Fiction" as if it was his own story of the war. McCain has started his strategy to appeal to youth voters. In recent campaign stops at local arcade McCain has been dressing and Talking i...

Secret Service: No guns allowed at NRA event with John McCain
2008-06-03 21:35:00 EXCUSE ME? I simply cannot believe that the NRA didn't call for a massive protest just as soon as they heard that no guns would be allowed inside of the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville. According to an NRA spokesperson, Secret Service members have stepped in and said while firearms will still be allowed in the convention center, they will not be allowed in the Celebration of American Values Forum. But what happened to the part of the Second Amendment that reads, "shall not be infringed?" Guess the NRA is not quite as powerful a gun lobbying group as they want the world to think that they are. John McCain: The 8 Trip Wonder
2008-06-02 01:57:00 John McCain has been making a big deal lately about his eight trips to Iraq. As he keeps reminding Americans, Barack Obama by contrast has made one visit to Iraq.McCain makes it sound as though he has intimate, in-depth knowledge of the situation on the ground in Iraq thanks to the fleeting glimpses of Iraqi life gleaned during his famous walkabouts. The more likely version is that his views are derived not so much from choreographed walkabouts, but from the opinions offered by American military personnel and embassy officials.Whether in relation to his position on Cuba or his Iraqi visits, McCain has a need to come across as muscular. He certainly appears to relish holding his Iraq trip record over the head of his younger Democratic rival. Perhaps some of this is compensation for perceived vulnerabilities. After all much has been made of his advanced years. His medical history has even been called into question. He spoke of the relaxed drive from the airport during a recent visit t...

2008-05-31 17:11:00 John McCain as president, despite all his many flaws, would be vastly better than the far left alternative that Barack Obama represents.

Conservatives, America, and John McCain - Is This Such A Bad Deal?
2008-05-30 14:08:00 I?ve been finding very disturbing the intense hostility that conservatives direct against John McCain. He was interrupted by an audience member that began chanting, Endless war, endless war, endless war.

2008-05-28 20:26:00 Yesterday I noted the analogies between the race between Obama and McCain and the fictional race on The West Wing between Santos and Arnold Vinick. While there are some similarities such as having a young charismatic Democrat taking on an older, more experienced and somewhat maverick Republican, there are also important differences. John McCain does ...
