Interview With The Vampire
2008-04-20 16:02:00
What's with The Great Communicator's son, Ron Reagan? Caught his ghastly appearance Friday on MSNBC star David Gregory's "Race For The White House." Junior either ran out of Ritalin or was on cocaine. His performance was so frenetic I had to leave the room. Is it just me but is young Ron morphinginto Dracula with that black widow's peak and vampire teeth? Disconcerting. Does he see his shadow? A Sirius vampiress sucked the blood of two unwitting victims in a taped show that will never see the light of day. NYP Page Six

Judith Sticks It To Rupert

Rupert Murdoch plugs psycho Judith Regan's deep throat with money. Lots of it. News Corp. caves in a big bucks settlement (nobody's talking about how much) to shut Regan's gaping maw and $100 mil lawsuit. The 2006 Murdoch-fired Princess of Pap (O.J.'s "If I Did It") claimed News Corp. "smeared" her after she retaliated by threatening to dish dirt on Rudy Guiliani spilled during her affair with married Rudy sidekick Bernard Kerik. NYDN
News Corp and Judith Regan settle lawsuit
2008-01-26 11:59:00
By Paul Thomasch NEW YORK (Reuters) - News Corp and Judith Regan said on Friday they had settled a $100 million lawsuit the publisher brought against her former employer, closing out a case with links to both O.J. Simpson and Rudy Giuliani. Regan's lawsuit relates to her dismissal in late 2006 from News Corp and its publishing house, HarperCollins, but captured the public's attention for its intriguing accusations of smear campaigns and cover-ups. In the settlement, neither party admitted any liability, News Corp said. Other terms were to be kept confidential, the company said. One claim made by the lawsuit is that a senior executive at News Corp encouraged Regan to lie to government investigators about her relationship with Bernard Kerik, the former New York police commissioner. It said the company feared damaging information about Kerik could come back to haunt his mentor, former New York Mayor Giuliani, who is now a Republican U.S. presidential candidate. "This actio...

Peter Golenbock, "The Mickey Mantle Novel" author: Mr. Media Interview, Par
2008-01-05 06:36:00
(Return to Part 1)BOB ANDELMAN/Mr. MEDIA: It?s kind of that side of sports heroes that we sort of think is there, but we don?t usually hear about it or talk about it.PETER GOLENBOCK: Without a doubt, and the other thing about Mickey, of course, is that when he retired at the end of the ?68 season, he was lost. The man was just lost, and so he lived until 1995, so from ?68 until ?95, he had to get up every morning and try to figure out, what in the world am I going to do today? He was not a very happy man. He was a fearful guy. I mean, he had a very tough childhood. His father was not a particularly nice guy or kind guy. Mickey?s father was very, very tough on him, especially even when he was a child. Baseball became something of a job, and even if Mickey didn?t want to spend the afternoon playing catch or hitting a ball, he really had no choice. This was something? And so Mickey never, ever, felt that anything he ever did was good enough, and that was a large part of what really bot...

(Return to Part 1)(Return to Part 2)BOB ANDELMAN/Mr. MEDIA: Let?s change gears a little bit. You have written so many books about the Yankees. Do you have a favorite among them?PETER GOLENBOCK: You don?t have favorite books. It?s like children. I mean, each one is a tremendous experience while you are doing it. Dynasty was my first book, was my very, very first book, and that was the one book I did before the age of computers, so from ?72 to ?73, I spent a year in Yankee Stadium with the Yankees researching their archive, a 100,000 newspaper articles. When I got finished with the thing, it occurred to me that I didn?t know any more about the Yankees then than I did when I started. It was an amazing revelation. So I went back to the guy who signed up the book at Prentice-Hall, and I said to him, ?Look, I need to go visit these guys. Will you front me more money to do it?? They originally gave me $2,500, and then he gave me another $2,500. He did it two more times as I kept going and ...

Frank Rich - Keith Olbermann - Bernie Kerik's Affair With Judith Regan | Co
2007-11-28 07:34:00
This is shaping up to be a hot story. Frank Rich of the New York Times has a great discussion of the details-to-date below, and MSNBC's Keith Olbermann has an equally informative video segment -- that too is here. November 18, 2007Op-Ed ColumnistWhat 'That Regan Woman' KnowsBy FRANK RICH NEW Yorkers who remember Rudy Giuliani as the bullying New York mayor, not as the terminally cheerful "America's Mayor" cooing to babies in New Hampshire, have always banked on one certainty: his presidential candidacy was so preposterous it would implode before he got anywhere near the White House.Surely, we reassured ourselves, the all-powerful Republican values enforcers were so highly principled that they would excommunicate him because of his liberal social views, three wives and estranged children. Or a firewall would be erected by the firefighters who are enraged by his self-aggrandizing rewrite of 9/11 history. Or Judith Giuliani, with her long-hidden first marriage and Louis Vuit...

“Probably my finest skill relates to art directing the process, which includes the design, the marketing, and the sales. The books on my list were so beautifully designed, I used to take art direction credits under a pseudonym–I didn’t want anyone to know,” fired publisher Judith Regan told the Observer last week. That pseudonym, according ...

WWDUnlucky in love and crazy conspiracy bitch Judith Regan snubbed her nose at a $6.5 mil settlement from Rupert Murdoch's News Corp., parent company of Regan's imprint at HarperCollins. Regan was fired after the O.J. "If I Did It" debacle. Regan did dumb shit stuff like interviewing O.J. on TV. Judith Regan: Murdoch Fired Me to protect Giuliani! OJ was an excuse!
2007-11-14 07:39:00
Now this is a stunner! Judith Regan has not just filed a $100 million suit against Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. Rather, the bigger news is that Regan says News Corp made up the firing over the OJ’s book as an excuse, and that real reason was because of damaging evidence she had in another project against Rudy Giuliani ! OH MY! “The smear campaign was necessary to advance News Corp.’s political agenda, which has long centered on protecting Rudy Giuliani’s presidential ambitions,” Regan said in the complaint filed yesterday, reports Bloomberg.com It was part of a “deliberate smear campaign” to protect presidential candidate Rudolph Giuliani, says Regan. Howard Rubenstein, a spokesman for News Corp., said  “the claims are preposterous.” Maria Comella, a spokeswoman for Giuliani’s campaign, declined to comment. And Kerik couldn’t be found for comment. “The charge was completely fabricated,” Regan said i...
