The collection of Lawrence 'Ram Rod' Shurtliff included a 1975 cream-colored Travis Bean electric guitar played by vocalist and lead guitarist Jerry Garcia, which fetched $312,000, according to Bonhams & Butterfields Auctioneers.Deadheads bidding by phone and in the crowded auction room bid up prices for band photos, original album artwork, guitars and other musical gear collected by Shurtliff over decades.A leather guitar strap worn by Garcia on stage around 1973 sold for $20,400 -- four times the estimated selling price. A flight case containing Garcias picks, unopened guitar strings and other accessories sold for $16,800. Garcia, who struggled with drug addiction throughout his life, died of a heart attack in 1995. Shurtliff passed away in 2006. Busta Rhymes was busted early this morning in New York City for DUI. Officers pulled over the 34-year-old rapper for excessive tinted windows on his 2006 GMC Yukon Denali. When they approached his car, Busta had a ?strong odor of alcohol on his breath.? According to NYPD spokesman Detective John Sweeney: When they asked him to present his paperwork, ?he dropped his wallet to the ground? while showing it to the officers. Police administered a field sobriety test and Sweeney said Rhymes blew a .147, which is above the .08 legal limit in New York. The officers arrested Rhymes for the misdemeanor crime of driving while impaired. MTV News is reporting that Beyonce and her label are pulling the plug on the B?Day Deluxe album/DVD; stores will now have to stop selling it.This is all due to a lawsuit filed by UK singer Des?ree over her track I?m Kissing You, which Beyonce -allegedly- sampled without permission on the B? Day re-release.The label didn?t fund the additional videos, Beyonce did - meaning she is losing a lot of money from the B?Day DVD not being sold.So not only did she rush making B'Day, which was done in two weeks, but she also stole someone elses songs. Hilary Duff was being interviewed by Much Music in Toronto, when a psychotic looking man vowed to kill her.According to the Post Chronicle, ?Duff was being interviewed by Much Music host Leah Miller on Live @ Much when a guy in the crowd outside the studio started yelling at the 19-year-old. According to an eyewitness, the unidentified man promised to kill her, prompting several police officers to tackle him.??The cops slammed his face into the pavement. He was bleeding.? another witness added.Not scared off by the whole ordeal, Duff would later greet her many fans who pushed forward for autographs and pictures, doing so just feet from where the arrest took place.Duff probably handled the situation so well because she has had this experience before.
