I've always believed that there aren't any "Bad" foods, it's how much and how often you eat certain foods that can cause problems. Fat kids don't eat loads of junk food because they want to, it's because their parents can't be arsed to cook. If the credit crunch does come, we may see a reverse in obesity when parents can't afford to shove fatty take-aways down their kids throats. Until then, all the government should be doing is giving advice, nothing more nothing less.

(I won't reveal what food, as not to ruin the show for people who have not yet gone.) On Thursday night, I did what I was told, not really paying attention to the fact that the aforementioned food had been sitting around for three weeks. Afterward, my stomach hurt. Not a "poo" kind of hurt, but an "ache" kind of hurt. (I do believe that is the first time in the history of Bamboo Nation that I have typed the word "poo.")However, my stomach quickly settled after we went to The Pub on Solano Avenue in Albany, where I consumed ginger ale, apple cider, salt and vinegar chips, honey dijon chips, a chocolate peanut butter cookie, and a 99-cent cherry pie from 7-11. That's how you cure a common stomachache.I should get stomachaches more often.

Slotting fees are a fee paid by food companies to supermarkets, so they would place the food company's products on shelves in higher traffic aisles, which consequently results in more sales. Because junk food companies have more profit, they can spend more on slotting fees (and advertising). Now, slotting fees probably are a very important reason for junk food's popularity, but it's definitely not the most important reason. The main reason for the popularity of junk food can probably be found in the denomination of the term itself.
