This one is the battle between the Justice League, the Shadow Cabinet, and the Shadow Thief. Unfortunately, this one shows too many panels of the characters standing around and talking. The art by Luis and Mayer is very well done. The problem with it is too many static poses. It does not look like there is any movement by the characters. Maybe with a different story, this art team could have done better. It makes me long for the days of the one and two part JLA stories. This story might of been improved by condensing it. The plotline that needs to be resolved is the forced romance between Hawkgirl and Red Arrow. Len Wein on Justice League. I picked it up when I saw the writer. The artists also helped. I really liked Cross' work on the old Slingers series from Marvel. Wein does a good job with the Faces of Evil event. DC is focusing on the villains this month and chose Starbreaker for the League. Starbreaker was introduced in the original Justice League series. Starbreaker appeared before issue 100. Starbreaker is telling the story of his previous encounters with the JLA.
