The Broncos cut DT Antwon Burton today and signed Kenny Peterson - who was cut last month. Burton was strictly a tackle while Peterson can play both inside and outside on the defensive line. We’ve seen several major changes along the D-line recently, and I don’t think we’ve seen the last of them.

Kenny Patterson, for tOSU and current Denver Bronco DE received a 4 game suspension from the NFL for violating the steroid policy.  Bronco coach Mike Shanahan goes to the 'supplement excuse' for Peterson.  From the Colorado Springs Gazette: Denver Broncos defensive lineman Kenny Peterson told coach Mike Shanahan he was suspended for violating the NFL’s policy on anabolic steroids and related substances because he took a nutritional supplement with a banned substance in it, Shanahn said Monday. Peterson, a reserve lineman, was suspended four games for the violation. He was at Monday's mini-camp practice but declined an interview request.   Kenny Peterson, whose preospects of making the team heading into Training Camp were long at best, saw those odds increase further with the news that he'll miss the first four games of the 2007 season after testing positive for steroids. The Broncos released an NFL statement saying Peterson will be suspended without pay for the first four games of 2007 starting Aug. 31. The statement said Peterson had violated the policy on anabolic steroids and related substances but didn't specify what he had done. As a result of the suspension, Peterson will forfeit $140,000 of his scheduled base salary of $595,000 for 2007. Peterson will be able to join the Broncos for training camp but won't be able to return to the active roster until Oct. 1 after the Broncos play the Indianapolis Colts.
