Hillary Clinton: ?I will be making no decisions tonight? on Quitting the Ra
2008-06-04 06:46:00 So, I’ve already analyzed Obama’s speech which was given shortly after Clinton’s following speech. She had been expected to suspend her campaign and acknowledge that Obama had reached the “magic number,” but not actually concede, but she didn’t even do that. She just said, “I’ll talk it over and decide later” essentially. Here’s the speech: Thank you. Thank you so much. ...

MN, KY General Election Polls
2008-05-27 05:35:00 Two polls I will like to point out today, one from Minnesota and the other from Kentucky. Both of which surprised me.MinnesotaMcCain: 38%Obama: 53%McCain: 38%Obama: 53%Over the last year, Minnesota has been in the battleground column and probably still is, however, in the last one or two months, polls have suggested that Minnesota may be lean or even likely Democratic this year. McCain has extraordinary strength in the Great Lakes region, particularly Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan. Polls in the later two states suggest he can win. With recent polls suggesting that Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty may not be a strong Vice Presidential pick against an Obama match-up (here) , one has to wonder if Pawlenty is a smart choice for McCain. It is my personal belief that the Vice Presidential nominee should NEVER be picked based on moving a state from one column to the next or solely based on geography. Perhaps McCain's meeting with possible Vice Presidential contenders, Jindal, Romney an...

Kentucky demographics favor Clinton
2008-05-14 22:11:00 FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Add a shot of whiskey and a pinch of tobacco and, politically, Kentucky is a lot like neighboring West Virginia - Clinton country. Both states are overwhelmingly white, largely rural and have a greater share of residents below the poverty line and without college degrees than the nation as whole. And, as she did in West Virginia, Hillary Rodham Clinton is expected to rack up a sizable victory in Kentucky's May 20 Democratic primary against front-runner Barack Obama, who is hoping to counter with a win on more favorable turf in Oregon the same day. Clinton's track record gives her a strong advantage in Kentucky. Whites have favored Clinton over Obama by 55 percent to 40 percent, rural voters 51-43, and voters without college degrees 52-44 in exit polls from 26 competitive primaries. Obama is strong among urban dwellers and rural blacks, giving him a fighting chance among voters in Louisville, the state's largest city, but little hope elsewhere, voting tre...

Appalachia exposed? or Kentucky exposed?
2008-05-12 04:29:00 I find it amazing that Kentuckians apparently do live in the stone age. I defended the Bluegrass State but will no more, as it appears the people have spoken on the so called issues of gender and race. See Poll results (Here) 21% of likely voters say Obama's race would be a factor in this primary. Too me that is a very high number and the undecideds rest at 19%, so split that percentage and you get some odd 30.5% of likely voters figure Obama being Black is a bad thing or could keep him from being elected. That is a legacy Kentucky holds and the data indicates Kentucky will continue to hold that terrible reputation. But it is not isolated to the Highlands of Kentucky, the entire Commonwealth carries this burden. And Kentucky's Black population apparently believe that Obama's race will keep him from being elected the most, at 31%. Apparently the comments made by Reverend Wright mean a little something to Kentuckians. Either Very important or Important - 43% 29% says it doesn...
