2007-11-21 20:57:00 Arts & Crafts - 2.007Especialmente recomendado.Cuando leí "Broken Social Scene presents..." ya me acerqué al disco con precaución porque este grupo crea verdaderas maravillas y verdaderos bodrios. Pero en este caso, sin ser directamente un trabajo del grupo quizá sea lo mejor que han hecho, y esto es una opinión muy personal.Y es que poner de acuerdo a dieciseis componentes para decidir la deriva del grupo es harto complicado, así que decidieron crear una serie en la que cada uno de lo componentes fuera el que llevara el timón en cada disco, como si se tratara un trabajo en solitario, pero con la colaboración en mayor o menor medidad de todos y cada uno de los musicos del grupo.. Veo dificil llevar a término la serie, pero bueno, ellos sabrán...Pero al escuchar el disco está claro que el sonido el claramente BSS, cosa lógica si tenemos en cuenta que la columna vertebral del colectivo la componen Kevin Drew y Brendan Canning.Guitarras electricas entrelazadas con acusticas, capas ...

Expected to be the first in a series of solo releases for BSS members in the new "Broken Social Scene Presents" series.What's the difference between this album and a normal Broken Social Scene album? Not much. There is a guest list of 23, most of which are BSS members. The album sounds exactly like what you would expect of BSS. The only real difference is the all for one mentality is gone. In big letters it says "Kevin Drew", he wrote the album and employs his BSS brethren as a back up band.The baroque pop sound we've come to expect from BSS is still in tacted. Supuestamente este disco es el primero de la serie Broken Social Scene presents y será lanzado recién el 18 de septiembre Hace tiempo atrás habían adelantado TBTF, tema 2 del álbum, acrónimo de Too beautiful to fuck. A mi gusto este sigue siendo uno de los mejores temas.
