2008-04-26 13:48:00 Just since I totally missed the ball on this... Sengoku announced on Thursday that Josh Barnett's opponent for the May 18. event will be none other than Jeff Monson. 5/18 Sengoku - Randleman's Opponent announced
2008-04-22 14:57:00 Sengoku announced Kevin Randleman's opponent today. He will fight Ryo Kawamura. Kawamura won his fight in Sengoku 1 against Braga Neto and is an up and coming Pancrase fighter. This should be a good fight for Randleman too, he is coming of a long break and I think he needs a fight to get back into is. This should be competitive.Added:Kevin Randleman 16-12-0 vs. 8-2-2 Ryo KawamuraPreviously announced:Eiji Mitsuoka 12-5-2 vs. 5-0-0 Kwang Hee LeeSatoru Kitaoka 19-8-9 vs. 7-4-1 Ian SchaffaYuki Sasaki 21-13-1 vs. 16-7-0 Jorge SantiagoYoshihiro ?Kiss? 5/18 Sengoku 2- Randleman and York added to May event
2008-04-03 14:06:00 Sengoku has updated their web-site with 2 more participants for their May event.Kevin Randleman was announced at Sengoku 1, but "Big" Jim York will be new to a lot of fight fans.York has an impressive record in Japan, Australia and Korea with 9-1-0, his 3 last fights were in MARS and all decided in the first round. He is a heavyweight, so the quality of opponents is always a question in Japan. He is on a 9 fight winning streak, so this should be a deserved step up in level of opponent.Fights:Satoru Kitaoka 19-8-9 vs. 7-4-1 Ian SchaffaEiji Mitsuoka 12-5-2 vs. 5-0-0 Kwang Hee LeeParticipants:"Big" Jim York 9-1-0Kevin Randleman 16-12-0Roger Gracie 1-0-0Yuki Sasaki 21-13-1Yoshihiro ?Kiss? Mauricio Shogun Hua vs. Kevin Randleman (Pride)
2008-02-23 20:14:00 This was actually one of the first Pride fights I ever saw: Mauricio 'Shogun' Rua vs. Kevin 'the Monster' Randleman. I distinctly recall there was extra on the line for this fight because of some drama between the Chute Boxe and Hammerhouse teams. Now that's how you finish a kneebar. But kudos to Randleman for not tapping to that nasty toehold earlier. Although I'm terrible at setting them up, this fight was actually the reason that I love kneebars. Also, best wishes to Mr. Randleman on recovering from that horrific Staph infection. I hope he recovers, and gets back on track.-y

Chuck Liddell's Seven Defining Moments
2007-12-18 21:07:00 What separates a champion from a contender, a star from an average Joe scraping out a few dollars here and there on the club fight circuit? In a lot of ways it comes down to what a fighter does when faced with challenges that would make most crumble. And even though a fighter won?t always win in these situations, how he learns from adversity will shape who he eventually becomes.Former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell is one of the sport?s legitimate superstars; what were the seven defining moments of his career? An article by UFC's Thomas Gerbasi1) Kevin Randleman ? May 4, 2001 ? UFC 31Result ? Liddell KO 1When Liddell entered his bout with former heavyweight champion Kevin Randleman in Atlantic City, he was seen as a solid contender, but also one who was expected to be a stepping stone for ?The Monster?, who was making his UFC debut at light heavyweight. Liddell had other plans, and there was no denying the fight ending power or quiet charisma of Liddell, who would hence...

MMANews.com: I suppose it could be worse... Kevin Randleman: I?m alive and I feel for the second time in my life that I am alive again. MMANews.com: The picture that was sent, how old was that? When was it taken? Kevin Randleman: That picture was taken last week. MMANews.com: How is that infection healing? Kevin Randleman: You know they can't close that up. They can?t sew it closed. Kevin Randleman Suffering From Awful Staph Infection - 30 Oct 2007 03:59:35
2007-10-30 04:59:00 By Chris Howie At one time, Kevin "The Monster" Randleman wore the UFC Heavyweight championship title and was one of the most feared fighters in MMA. Nowadays Kevin is having a hard time staying out of the hospital. Over the last two years, Kevin has been experiencing a number of issues. He spent some time in the hospital at the turn of the new year and just recently had a severe bout of staph infection and is still feeling the effects of it. As I walked into work today I felt my phone vibrate. I open it to see a message from Kevin Ranadleman. When I open it up the message reads "Hey Chris, it's Kevin, is your cell a camera phone because I have something for you." Unfortunately the picture wouldn't come through on my phone but he did get it sent to my email. Much to my surprise (and as you can see in the picture), this was one of the most severe cases of staph I had ever seen. (Continue Reading)
