Kimi Raikkonen - Interesting
2008-04-19 07:03:00
Kimi Raikkonen has emerge victorious at Interlagos ,Brasil and won, for his first time, the world champion title, passing by only 1 point Hamilton and Alonso ! Coming to Brazil, Raikkonen’s chances of winning the championship were the slimmest of the three. Two ways to accomplish this goal were: finish first, with Alonso taking third or lower and Hamilton sixth or lower; or finish second, with Alonso in fourth or lower and Hamilton eighth or lower. Only Raikkonen could count on the help of a teammate, Massa, who after clinching pole position on Saturday was in the best possible position to provide help. And that was exactly what Massa, who led the race almost from the beginning, did when he pitted in the 50th lap, allowing his teammate take the lead. Massa could probably have overtaken Raikkonen after returning to the track, but instead he kept Alonso at bay in third place. 1. Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari) 110 p 2. Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) 109 p 3. Fernando Alonso...
Why is Michael Schumacher still testing for Ferrari?

Shaun left this comment yesterday under one of the Barcelona test posts: Why is Schumacher testing for Ferrari instead of Raikkonen or Massa ? sorry if this is an obvious question. Well, good question and I do not think it is obvious. Ferrari has Raikkonen and Massa plus test drivers proper Gene and Badoer. But they still use Michael Schumacher and used him again ...

Kimi Raikkonen wary of BMW threat
2008-04-02 11:26:00
Kimi Raikkonen is convinced Ferrari and McLaren will not have it all their own way this season. The Ferrari driver and reigning world champion thinks there are three teams and six drivers in the running for the two championships. "It's much too early to make any kind of conclusion as to who is who," said Raikkonen. "We will have to wait a few more races to get the picture as to who are the main contenders for the title, but its going to be as tight as it was last year." Lewis Hamilton and Raikkonen have shared the spoils in the first two races this season but the 29-year-old is aware that BMW Sauber are hot on their heels. BMW driver Nick Heidfeld was runner-up at Melbourne while Robert Kubica finished second in Malaysia. "It's a battle between three teams instead of two because whilst Ferrari and McLaren might have won the first two races, let's not forget BMW have had two second places. So any slip up by Ferrari and McLaren and they will be there to pick up the points. "This tim...

Kimi Raikkonen Wins 2008 Malaysian Formula One Grand Prix
2008-03-23 11:38:00
After a disastrous race for both the Ferrari and Kimi on Melbourne, Kimi Raikkonen wins in Malaysia, Robert Kubica finished second and McLaren’s Heikki Kovalainen came in third, while his team mate Lewis Hamilton, the Australian GP winner finished fifth. Fernando Alonso finished 7th! It was a bad day for Felippe Massa. On his 31 lap he spins out of track and left the place open for Robert Kubica. Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso were straggling really hard to make it to the pole but bad for them, they just couldn’t make it. Once again it was an awesome day for my man Kimi. The car was perfect as well as the track, just another easy win for Kimi. The track in Malaysian is a brilliant one. It is indeed a beautiful fast track which allows you to go flat out listening to the sound of those engines roaring at their limits. It was absolutely thrilling to watch the onboard camera view of the car that is already speeding over 300 Km/h! Here is the complete list, Pos       Driv...
