White Sox kinda embarrass themselves at the All-Star Game

We have a big payroll nowadays, but we still go relatively unnoticed, and the biggest attraction we have near the ballpark is the Dan Ryan expressway, closely followed by IIT. Unless we make the playoffs--which occurs around twice a decade--this is our only bit of national exposure. We don't necessarily need to break the bank and put our names on the map, it'd be nice, but I've given up on it. We just need to get in and get out without our presence being explained with "Well, every team gets one,", or being the reason the American League loses the game! And in the latter sense, the White Sox failed. Paul Konerko's 0-2 performance certainly wasn't impressive, and being part of a strike 'em out/throw 'em out isn't going to help his Hall-of-Fame bid, but the real disaster was Matt Thornton. Worse yet, Thornton's track to infamy was greased by a Chicago Cub.
