2008-07-25 06:54:00 Be prepared!! This is psychedelic!! This is experimental!! This is?well, this is rock of a particular sort. Check out “1000 Machines ft John Z” if you don’t believe it. Maybe you’ll want to listen to “Our Friday Is Your Wednesday.” Those selections from Amaro Dolce (2008) are not dance music. They certainly don’t qualify, in this ...

CT Scans Show What King Tut Looked Like
2007-12-19 12:40:00 In 2005, using CT scans of his mummified remains, forensic scientists and artists were able to complete the first ever facial reconstructions of King Tut. The young pharaoh's reconstructed facial composition turned out to be strikingly similar to ancient portraits of him."The shape of the face and skull are remarkably similar to a famous image of Tutankhamun as a child where he was shown as the sun god at dawn rising from a lotus blossom," said Zahi Hawass, Secretary-General of the Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities. Separated At Birth: Don Imus & King Tut
2007-11-09 15:58:00 The cadaverous Don Imus dodges the dead bodies of other radio talent beached to make way for his WABC gig. Ironically some of those guys backed Imus back in the day when he was getting hammered. So Imus is back in the saddle December 3rd and it'll be like nothing happened as media and political elite kiss his ring like before. TV Barn's Aaron Barnhart asked Tim Russert on tape if he'd go back on Imus. "If asked, absolutely." The caveat: He's got to get a note from NBC brass above his pay grade. There's a clog in Clear Channel's $1.2 bil deal to flush radio stations. WSJThe Spy Guys are back together again! Vanity Fair's major domo Graydon Carter is handing his former Spy Magazine partner Kurt Andersen a five-figure payday to write two Vanity Fair articles. King Tuts Real Face
2007-11-06 04:50:00 firoze shakir photographerno1 posted a photo: ** FILE ** A photo released by the Supreme Council of Antiquities and the National Geographic Society on May 10, 2005 shows a model of King Tutankhamun made by a French team based on facial reconstructions from CT scans of King Tutankhamun's mummy. Teams of forensic artists and scientists built models of the boy pharaoh's face based on some 1,700 high-resolution photos from CT scans of his mummy to reveal what he looked like the day he died nearly 3,300 years ago. The linen wrapped mummy of King Tut was put on public display for the first time on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2007, 85 years after the 3,000-year-old boy pharaoh's golden enshrined tomb and mummy were discovered in Luxor's famed Valley of the Kings. King Tut
2007-11-05 22:29:00 Of course, we all know that King Tut became king of Egypt at a very young age…only seven years old! What I didn’t realize though was that he had been raised in Amenhotep IV’s home. Now remember, Amenhotep IV had changed his name to Akhenaten because he worshipped only Aten. Because of ...

Show King Tut some respect
2007-11-05 13:05:00 From the beginning as Egyptian and as a human I do not approve on the freak show Dr. Zahi Hawas is holding currently in Luxor ,yes the King Tut full display show in Luxor I mean ,for the first time people would see the face of the king in public for the first time since his burial in 1322 B.C I do not know why they are doing this , this is a disrespect for the dead's people privacy, seriously if we want to drew more tourists we have other thousands hidden stuff in the crypts of the Egyptian museum and Zahi Hawas knows of them very well yet he insists on invading the privacy of that king , that young man , that person in the end who was originally put in his hidden tomb to sleep in piece for eternity not to be bothered with so curious people and scientists Look there is a limit between scientific and historical curiosity and privacy limits , for everything there are limits and Dr.Hawas has crossed the lines this time by uncovering King Tut's face to be in public display for...

King Tut’s Mummy…the mystery continues
2007-11-05 13:00:00 The big news is that archeologists have reassembled King Tut’s mummy and are putting it on display, in a way that will protect the mummy from deterioration from the humidity and germs of visitors. Tut’s head was removed at the time of discovery by over eager archeologists, so it’s nice to see him together again. But with the news continues the question of why he died. CT scans of the body were performed to try to answer the questionof how he died and the rumors that he had been murdered. Earlier X Rays suggested a skull fracture from a blow to the back of his head, but later X rays suggested this was an artifact. However, a fracture of the thigh bone and missing sternum (the breast bone that connects with the ribs) have made some suspect fractured ribs from a chariot accident, either accidental or contrived to look accidental so that the king’s chief advisor could take over. However, these theories might just be conjecture: Zahi Hawass announced the results o...
King Tut - Ugly as Hell !
2007-11-05 07:17:00 The face of King Tut for the first time in history has now been revealed. And oh, my, is he friggen ugly! The buck-toothed ruler of ancient Egypt has never shown his face since his death until today. For the first time in 3,000-year-old you can now see his face …. if you want to puke. They removed the quartz sarcophagus covering his face inside his burial chamber todayand kept it inside a climate-controlled glass case. His face was wrapped in a white linen sheet with only the face and feet showing. “I can say for the first time that the mummy is safe and the mummy is well preserved, and at the same time, all the tourists who will enter this tomb will be able to see the face of Tutankhamun for the first time,” Egypt’s antiquities chief Zahi Hawass said Sunday. Tut was discovered by British explorer Howard Carter 85 years ago in Luxor’s Valley of the Kings. “The golden boy has magic and mystery and therefore every person all over...
King Tut Returns to Egypt!
2007-11-04 19:43:00 I was browsing the web for news on the game between the New England Patriots and the Indiana Colts when I came across news on King Tut. The linen-wrapped mummy of the Golden Boy was put on public display in Egypt for the first time, 85 years after the 3,000-year-old boy Pharaoh's tomb and mummy were discovered in the Valley of the Kings.I have always been fascinated with King Tutankhamun since I was a kid. So imagine my surprise when I came across the news! I wasn't even searching for it! I remember that one summer day (I was still in grade school) when I deliberately skipped my music lessons ('twas a Tuesday) because Channel 7 had a special on King Tut! Moreover, I collect commemorative plates from different countries, and some of my favorite pieces are those from the Land of the Pyramids. And guess what? I have a number of plates on King Tut, including some that depicts him with his golden mask. Some of my best and rare finds in my stamp collection are from Egypt, too.My inter...

He also changed his name to Tutankhamun in order to direct attention to the restoration of the pantheon and the God Amun at his head. King Tut reigned for only about nine years. He ruled until his death at about age 18. ...

Was King Tut murdered?
2006-12-11 12:59:01 Did King Tut die of an accident, or was he murdered? Did he die of a simple broken leg?
