That statement may be a bit much but it's how I felt after reading The Murder of King Tut. I don't think I've ever read a book on a moment in history where I felt like I was reading a novel. King Tut is not a 'big' book even though it is over 300 pages. The chapters are short and the lines are double spaced but what you learn about this time period and the events that lead to this young boy becoming a King is more than most dusty, voluminous text books would give. James Patterson also brings to life Howard Carter, the Egyptologist who found Tutankhamun. You can feel the passion Carter has for Egypt and of his delight in his discovery, just as you come to know the other main characters of Tut's life who are fleshed out by giving them emotion and detail.
