2007-11-03 18:53:00 Kireedam - Cam QualityKireedam (2007) film directed by debutant A.L. Vijay. The film stars Ajith Kumar, Trisha Krishnan, Vivek, Saranya, Cochin Haneefa and Rajkiran. The film's score and soundtrack are composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. A.L.Vijay has done the innovative ad campaign for Chennai Silks. He had given a story narration to Ajith in Hyderabad on the location of Aalwar and the actor immediately agreed to do it. Ace cinematographer Thiru will be the cameraman, Selva is in charge of art, while Antony is the editor. Kireedom started rolling on December 15 and was set to release for May 1, 2007 coinciding Ajith's birthday however it has been announced to release June 29, 2007. Now the climax has been re-edited, with a positive ending, and will be screened in all theatres across Tamilnadu from Sunday (July 29) evening.In the new climax, hero Sakthivel (Ajit) after killing the notorious criminal wanted by the police, a voice-over with the Madras High Court in the background says that Sakthi is pardoned. Later he gets a medal from the President of India and the film ends with a shot of Ajit coming in police uniform and saluting his dad.The audiences of Tamilnadu will not accept a superstar like Ajit as a loser in the end. The producers of the film Adlabs and Suresh Balaji, was forced to take the decision to get good theatres in Tamilnadu. You can call it the Sivajieffect, as in many centres in Tamilnadu, the film is running in multiple screens, blocking the release of new films. The audio of the film will have a soft launch on Monday June 25, when it hits the market.
