Former Toronto Blue Jays closer Billy Koch was arrested about a month ago on criminal mischief and battery charges after getting into a wild incident with his neighbor in Florida. 48-year-old Luis Camacho “pushed” Koch’s stepson in the street of their residential area at 2:00 a.m., at which point Koch’s wife “came running out of the house, screaming and spitting at him.” Koch followed her, and that’s when things got heated. The altercation began near the Koch residence and moved to Camacho’s driveway nearby as Camacho and his son retreated. According to statements by the Koches, Camacho and several witnesses, Camacho grabbed a bat to defend himself and when it was taken away, grabbed a spade shovel. 2008-09-29 20:05:00 Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass ich es doch noch schaffe, am Garten-Koch-Event Lauch teilzunehmen. Auf dem Markt gab es wunderschönen Lauch und der Slow Cooker kochte das Gericht fast ganz von allein. Cock-a-leekie Suppe stammt aus Schottland und reicht zurück bis 1598. Die Suppe bestand aus Lauch, Hühnerbrühe und Kartoffeln, sowie Backpflaumen. Die Backpflaumen wurden ursprünglich hinzugefügt, um den Nährwert der Suppe zu erhöhen, da nur in wohlhabenderen Häusern das Hühnerfleisch mitserviert wurde. Der Franzose Charles Maurice de Talleyrand, Staatsmann und Gastronom, vertrat die Ansicht, die Backpflaumen müssten vor dem Servieren entfernt werden. Das führte teilweise dazu, dass überhaupt keine Backpflaumen mehr mitgekocht wurden. Traditionalisten servieren die Suppe mit Backpflaumen-Julienne. Der Clou meiner Cock-a-leekie Suppe sind die knusprigen Blätterteig-Croutons; die Backplaumen werden im ganzen mitgekocht und serviert. Ein sehr wohlschmeckender Eintopf. ========...
