I don't know why she keep buying me this toys everytime mine has broken at that time. Probably because it was the cutest one. Or might be the cheapest one she could afforded.This toy, this terracotta frog might be is true the cheapest one. Made of low-quality terracotta, used cement sacks, painted with cheap paint (and maybe toxic in it). But at this time being, I guess this is the prcious one. No, at that time too! Because this toys has brought me joy and happines. Proviene de la fiesta tradicional china Tango no Sekku (端午の節句), que se celebraba el quinto dia del quinto mes en el calendario lunisolar (aunque ahora ha sido adaptado al calendario solar) y sobre cuyos origenes hay varias hipótesis, pero para la gente significaba el comienzo del verano y el final de la época de lluvias. Curiosamente esta fecha (5 del 5 ó "double fifth") es festiva la mayoría de los países del extremo oriente, aunque conmemoran cosas distintas.Hoy en día, en Japón, el 5 de Mayo se celebra la personalidad de los niños, su ilusión, alegría y felicidad. Aunque en un principio esto es aplicable a niños de ambos sexos se suele identificar este día con los varones y el Hina Matsuri (3 de Marzo) con las niñas, ya que, en estos días, en las casas se exhiben los gogatsuningyou(五月人形 - muñecos del quinto mes) en paralelis...
