Krishna Vamsi's "Chandamama" Completed its 100 days

To mark the event, a gala function has been planed at Durgam Cheruvu on December 17.It is directed by Krishna Vamsi, who has given huge hits and is one of the few directors who can draw audiences to the theaters.KRISHANA VAMSI made this beautiful film showcasing the richness of Telugu language and culture. C Kalyan and Vijayawada produced the film jointly on the Teja cinema banner.Navdeep, Kajal, Sivabalaji and Sindhu Menon are the lead actors. She has interviewed and focused on people that have become quite radical in their beliefs. One person she interviewed was released from prison after freeing minks from six fur farms.Unfortunately she won't be finished for three years and the book will not focus on just Hare Krishna or Straight Edge. But I am pleased to find more authors diving into our world. Typically it seems that professors take a more unbiased position when they document the lives of Straight Edge people as opposed to that of television journalists. So I hope that her book will be an enlightening and educational experience.

UT Chandigarh Home Secretary, Mr. Krishna Mohan inaugurates a Photo Exhibit
2007-12-11 14:56:00 Chandigarh : UT Home Secretary, Mr. Krishna Mohan today inaugurated a Photo Exhibition of Mr. Satya Pal Handa’s work at the Government Museum and Art Gallery. Mr. Mohan went around the exhibition and appreciated the works of Mr. Handa. The Photo Exhibition has been organized by the Rotary Club of Chandigarh. The exhibition, showcasing 50 years of work by the first photographer of the City Beautiful, will remain open till December 13. Mr. Handa has numerous awards and recognitions from various organisations including UN, WHO, UNESCO, Rotary International Award in World Photo Contests, Punjab Governor’s Special Silver Medal, etc. Director of the Government Museum and Art Gallery, Mr. Vidyanand Singh and other distinguished guests were present on the occasion. |
