Farewell to Brig (Retd) Zahir Khan and Brig (Retd) Nadir Mir was planned during Ramadan at Iftar Dinner by Col (Retd) Athar. Since then, everyone waited for the evening together eagerly. Evening was very nicely planned by Athar (thanks to Athar for the nice food and beautiful venue). Lahore at that time was connected via Railways to Amritsar and rest of the India but not to the port city of Karachi. The Lahore-Amritsar line though complete, was not inaugurated yet.
