Este taller suele tunear autos alemanes pero esta vez este modelo japonés fue el elegido. La verdad que se ve muy bueno. Les cuento que no tiene reformas de motor ni suspensión porque el Mitsubishi Lancer ya posee un motor de lujo y una altura increible. Pero igualmente pueden observar el kit de ensanche de carroceria Tuning que se le colocó. Un kit con lineas bien marcadas y agresivas, que le dan un toque excepcional. En la parte trasera no observamos grandes cambios, salvo en una de las aperturas del paragolpe Tuning en la cual vemos la enorme salida de escape cromada. Ahora bien, supongo que deben haber visto esas llantas brillantes. Se trata de unas llantas cromadas de 17 pulgadas con neumáticos de talón bajo bien resistentes. While we don't have any news to report as to the Concept-cX, we do have an official announcement that the SST will be making its way into the Outlander, at least in the U.K. This is the same transmission that is found in the awe-inspiring Lancer Evolution, which is available in the U.S., so we have hopes that the Outlander will get this option in the states too. An Outlander equipped with the SST and paddle shifters will be shown at the Paris Motor Show in early October and will officially go on sale in the first quarter of 2009. Most of them are somewhat blusterous PR hype (read about Mitsubishi's ETACs in the press release after the jump for a good example), but I thought I'd highlight the three that are focused on efficiency: The Evolution X is missing a reverse gear. Through an unusual combination of first and third gears with an idler gear on a separate shaft, the transmission is able to reverse motion without the need for a full reverse gear. The windows are made of "energy saving glass," which is able to reduce solar heat transmission by between two-thirds and 100 percent. A cooler cab means less energy needed to keep the AC pumping in the summer months. There are also tiny spoilers in the wheel houses for improved aerodynamics. I'm not totally sold on the styling yet. Although it did take years for the last generation Evo to grow on me. I loved how the old car looked like an econo box that had fallen in a vat of radioactive material and emerged with superhero powers. After reading several early reviews, I'm a bit disappointed in how it seems Mitsubishi has tamed this toxic beast. One of the things I did like about the old car was the turbo lag believe it or not. I loved that "hammer in the chest" acceleration. It is far to early to really form an opinion yet. So I'll follow up on the new Evo X once some more hard figures are released. Of course getting to drive one would be even better!
