I didn't but my tivo remembered for me.They're going international this season trying to find the "best comics" from the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK. I put best comics in quotes because I heard a nasty rumor that the producers only let through people they themselves are representing and promoting. Who knows if that's true or not but it's just something I heard.One thing that does seem true is that the best people don't always get through. They let through too many women in my opinion. I have nothing against women comedians but one of this year's scouts Kathleen Madigan, seemed too gung ho on letting women through whether or not they were the funniest people. Meanwhile, some men who had me rolling were given the shaft.The other two scouts are Ant and Alonzo Bodden two former LCS contestants (and of course we know Ant from Fit Club). The stand-up comedy show, which enters its fifth season in the summer, is taking its search for talented comedians outside the United States for the first time. "Last Comic" talent scouts will travel to London, Montreal and Sydney this season, in addition to holding casting calls in Los Angeles, New York, Minneapolis, San Antonio and Tempe, Ariz. Along with the expanded contestant search, the show is getting a new host in comedian Bill Bellamy and a new set of judges, all of whom are former "Last Comic" finalists. 2006-08-06 18:48:23 Whatever hard feelings Jay Mohr had toward NBC and "Last Comic Standing" have apparently eased. The finale will also reveal which of the three remaining comics — Chris Porter, Josh Blue and Ty Barnett — wins this year’s "LCS" title, which includes a stand-up special on Bravo and a talent contract with NBC. One of the final three will be eliminated in the penultimate episode, which airs Tuesday.Although he’s still credited as an executive producer of "Last Comic Standing," Mohr hasn’t been involved with the show this season. As recently as a few weeks ago, in fact, he told Zap2it he had "no interest" in the current season.
