2007-06-22 06:11:00 Melody Queen Lata Mangeshkar launched her latest album Saadgi on the occasion of World Music Day on Thursday.Most of these Ghazal-like compositions have been penned by Javed Akhtar, while the music has been composed by Mayuresh Pai. The music launch of Saadgi was a short and simple affair, where the Chief Guest was ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh , with whom Lata had last released an album 17 years back. ''The name Saadgi derives its origin from my conviction that it's the simple things in life that touch our heart. The songs talk about such circumstances that have touched everyone's life at some point or the other.
