Star Trek 2 Will Not Have Benicio Del Toro As Khan
2011-12-03 08:30:00
The anticipated sequel to J.J. Abrams 2009 Star Trek movie reboot will not have the legendary Benicio Del Toro playing ‘Khan’ in a remake of the popular Star Trek The Original Series First Season Episode “Space Seed.” As Trekkers will recall, that genius story aired April 2, 1967 and featured the late Ricardo Montalban playing (Read More...)
Leonard Nimoy, singer to the masses!
2009-09-07 03:39:00
Now, I realize that this is an old video, but it still kicks ass! Leonard Nemoy is singing his “hit song” the Ballad Of Billbo Baggins. Frankly, it’s not that great. Hell, it’s not that good! It is however a great actor doing a shitty song. Check it out and ...
Exclusive First Look: FRINGE Beams Down Leonard Nimoy
2009-04-30 01:28:00
Even though it’s essentially a fate accompli that FOX will renew FRINGE for a second season, credit must go to J.J. Abrams for not taking any chances. As evidence by the inspired casting choice of Leonard Nimoy to play the mysterious and enigmatic founder of Massive Dynamics, William Bell, in FRINGE’s May 12 finale (and beyond). “He [Nimoy] plays William in a way that’s kind of unexpected,” revealed FRINGE executive producer Jeff Pinkner at last week’s Paley Festival Panel honoring the show. “And you go, ‘Oh my God, I now see why these two men were simpatico, were like minded, even though one went into an insane asylum and one went on to be one of the richest men in America.’ Maybe there’s something to that.”
Why Casting Leonard Nimoy on FRINGE is Highly Illogical
2009-04-09 17:39:00
Putting aside the welcome ratings bump that FOX will undoubtedly see when Leonard Nimoy makes his first appearance of what is said to be a multi-episode arc on the May 12th finale of FRINGE, this TV Addict can’t help but feel that the casting of Leonard Nimoy as the mysterious William Bell is, well… highly illogical. Especially after one factors in Michael Ausiello’s recent scoop that, “Nimoy’s character’s arc was significantly cut back to accommodate Nimoy, who was only interested in doing a handful of episodes.” After a season of patiently waiting to discover the identity of the man behind Massive Dynamics, not to mention the reason Walter may-or-may-not-have spent the past seventeen years in a mental institution, the story of William Bell should not be contingent of Nimoy’s schedule and his apparent lack of excitement with regards to being tied down to series television. In short, FRINGE fanatics deserve better. They deserve a r...
That's Logical (TV Guide.com)

"The first day I shot the movie, before it was over J.J. came to me with his phone and showed me a picture that he had downloaded from the internet of us standing in the room that we were still shooting in. It was already on the Internet! That's actually what instigated the heightened security. The next day I showed up and we had floor-length vinyl jackets with hoods [to cover costumes] and golf carts that were completely enclosed in black tarp. That persisted through the entire shoot, even when we were on the lot at Paramount. People were worried about camera phones and digital cameras and it's understandable because there were a couple of times that a background actor or someone who was working on the crew would snap a couple of photos and they would inadvertently end up on the Internet, and that's just a headache for the legal departments. People think they want to know, but they don't want to know. It's going to ruin the experience for them."- Zachary Quinto, who plays Mr. ...
