Stolen License Plate - Stealing Gas From The Pumps
2008-06-08 22:21:00 There has been a warning put out by law enforcement to check and make sure your License Plate is still on your car. There have been unscrupulous drivers stealing plates and using them on their car to steal gas at the pumps!I realize along with everyone else reading this that gas is getting out of hand, but there is a fine line there. If it gets to the point you have to steal gas and get someone else in trouble, that is too much!Make sure from time to time your tags are still on your car. If this event happens and your plates are used, guess what? The police will come knocking on your door to see whats going on. So, just be aware.Also, if you trade your car in, make sure you get the plates off your trade in. They may be expired, but still request the salesman to take them off for you. This will help avoid any wrong doing going on with your name attached to it.
