2008-04-06 02:27:00 Já saiu a versão 2 do programa de gerenciamento e edição de imagem, Lightroom da Adobe. por enquanto ainda é uma versão beta e não importa o catálogo das nossas imagens da versão 1.3.1 mas já dá para dar uma olhada nas funcionalidades novas. A versão final já vai permitir importar o catálogo. Normalmente não falaria aqui deste programa, apesar de o usar para gerir as minhas fotos e retocá-as, se não fosse o facto de que esta nova versão já permitir fazer essas tarefas a todas as fotografias panorâmicas (quase todas), o que a versão anterior não permitia, pois não abria imagens maiores que 10000 pixels de largura ou altura. Nesta versão essa limitação foi aumentada para 30000 pixeís, pelo que quem usa este programa já vai poder usá-lo nas panorâmicas maiores. Podem tirar a versão para experimentarem aqui... Adobe withdraws Lightroom 1.4
2008-03-18 01:25:00 The 1.4 update for Adobe’s Lightroom and the 4.4 update for Camera Raw, the Photoshop Raw importer, contain a number of errors. These relate to the way that Lightroom deals with the EXIF time stamp, the conversion of raw data to the open-source DNG format and the conversion of Olympus files. While it fixes these errors, Adobe has withdrawn the software update from 13 March, which included support for the formats of several new camera types. In the Adobe Blogs Lightroom Journal,Tom Hogarty from the Lightroom team recommends users who have already updated to uninstall the update and reinstall Lightroom 1.3.1 on their Windows-PC or Mac. The EXIF error causes Lightroom 1.4 to incorrectly modify the EXIF time stamp in the original raw file, although the information written to the XMP sidecar files remains correct. With all of the hardware and software apps that we as photographers have to keep up on, anything that can quickly and concisely assist in that endeavor is always much appreciated. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom has become one of our main workflow apps and although we are pretty adept at it Adobe programs are always so "deep" that it is hard to stay on top of all of the shortcuts, tools, and tricks. So I have been subscribing to a podcast caller Lightroom Killer Tips. The thing I like about them is that the host (Matt Kloskowski) is clear and concise with very useful tips tools and ideas. Most of the podcasts are in the 5-8 min range so you are not stuck forever watching endless videos. Brevity is Good! Hopefully someone over there will take notice and provide a fix for this in a later release.Long story short, if you're currently experiencing "screen freeze" issues with an eVGA/NVIDIA video card and Photoshop Lightroom, check out which driver you're using. 2008-01-03 03:26:00 Workshop for January will be BASIC CREATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY and will be held on January 19 - 20 at KOLEKTIB, Cubao Expo, Cubao QC. (this is the former Shoe Expo, near the old Rustans in Cubao and Ali Mall) Schedule will be as follows: January 19 (Saturday) 2-5pm - LECTURE January 20 (Sunday) 9-12nn ON LOCATION SHOOT The Workshop will cover the following topics: 1. Basic Composition Techniques 2. Basic Camera Features 3. Other Photography Techniques Requirements: 1. Camera - preferably DSLR….but point and shoots are also ok 2. Pen and Paper (we still believe in taking down notes for better retention) 3. Lots of Enthusiasm!!!
