A Vacation To Remember in London, England
2007-09-29 09:40:00
My time in London was set right in the middle of my month long overseas adventure. From Christchurch, New Zealand I'd traveled through Bangkok and onto the majestic city of London. Just flying over the area was exciting; looking down on the Thames River was great and for some reason reminded me of the Eastenders TV programme. After settling in at my sister's apartment I got some valuable sleep, traveling can be great fun but the jet lag can quickly bring you back down to earth. The next day I headed out to St Paul's Cathedral, it's an amazing monument and was well worth the visit. After taking the usual touristy photos in front of St Paul's I moved on to the Tate Modern Art Gallery. They had some really fascinating exhibitions on at the time with some great sculptures and art work. Heading out to lunch reminded me of how expensive everything is in London after you've exchanged New Zealand dollars to British Pounds, after coming from the very cheap Bangkok; I realized that ...

London England blogger tells you about Reno real estate
2007-01-26 05:48:02
Searching through some top visited blog sites brings up some interesting information. One blog (that shall remain nameless) that really irritates me is from a blogger located in London U.K. Apparently he knows more than those of us living in Reno. He has posted a few times “informing” us in Reno what our current real estate market conditions are. In reality he is just regurgitating the agenda driven mainstream media negativity AND then using it to cash in on. Be aware you are being used by people like this. I guess they did a good job ruining their own country, now they want to try and ruin ours.
Palace of Westminster and the Clock Tower, London, England
2006-12-02 15:47:01
The Palace of Westminster was the principal residence of the kings of England from the middle of the 11th century until 1512. The tower was redesign in the Victorian Gothic style after the old Palace of Westminister was destroyed by fire on the night of October 16, 1834. Due to ground conditions the tower leans slightly to the north-west, by roughly 220 millimeters (8.66142 inches). Due to thermal effects it oscillates annually by a few millimeters east and westThe clock(Big Ben) is a focus of New Year celebrations in England, with radio and TV stations tuning to its chimes to welcome the start of the year. Similarly, on Remembrance Day, the chimes of Big Ben are broadcast to mark the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month and the start of two minutes' silence. The clock has become a visual symbol for London whenever television or film-maker wishes to quickly convey to a non-UK audience a generic location in the United Kingdom a popular way to do so is to show an image of Big ...
