The audience is therefore able to gain the facts being related in the narrative as well as develop some emphatic feel for the characters. With the transition of the shorter sentences, the audience is able to go back to their own resources and try judge for themselves the end to which the narrative is pointing. Along the way however, they may be proved farther away from the truth but in one way or the other they become an active part of the narrative.
