2008-08-18 18:13:00 Canada's Longest Footbridge.There are two footbridges over the canyon. Canada's longest footbridge extends an amazing 600 ft long across and is 152 ft above the ground. The other bridge spans 300 ft across the canyon and is 125 ft above the canyon floor. Eagle Canyon is a privately owned site near Ouimet Canyon, situated in Ouimet Canyon Provincial Park in Northwestern Ontario. In the Ouimet Canyon area, there are rare alpine flowers that are considered especially beautiful and arctic plants normally found 1000 km further north. One can view the beautiful unique surroundings from over the bridges. As usual, Graidy greeted me at 4:50 a.m.by jumping up on the bed and licking my face until I woke up. Next to me on the floor, was Kiera on her dog bed. I get to go home on weekends.During my freshman year, the bus ride (from the Cubao terminal along EDSA to the San Fernando intersection) took at least 1.5 hours. But as the NLEX underwent many improvements through the years, the travel time was gradually shortened. When they repaired the old NLEX, the trip was cut to around 1 hour. And when the brand new NLEX was opened, the trip was cut to 45-50 minutes ? barring any traffic jam along EDSA. (It wasn?t exactly a ?new? expressway though, because technically it was the same road. But the new NLEX was brought about by extensive and expensive renovations throughout the entire stretch of the expressway. Not to mention a brand new management).
