But this Wales-based gang of popsters pulled it off effortlessly. Celebrating their second-ever Lolla show (their first was two years ago), they jumped from one sunny, bouncing song to the next, all the while pulling off flawless boy-girl vocal changes, an Elliott Smith tribute and at the end, simultaneous stage dives by the drummer and guitarist. 2008-04-21 01:17:00 I'd usually start off with a review of the support band(s) but in this case I shall not. A search for a cherry pie put pay to most of 'Little My's set although they did look like a lot of fun, from what I saw. The less said about the next support band 'Lovvers' the better. They did seem to be a little stuck in 1992.Los Campesinos! however, were absolutely everything I'd dreamed of, and more. They played everything I wanted them to, including a lovely rendition of Frontwards, a pavement song they are very nearly making their own. Returning to the venue where they'd played their first ever gig the band seemed in good spirits, or maybe it was just knowing they were to appear on Soccer AM at the weekend? (very funny watch)I'm going to see Vampire Weekend in less than 2 weeks. Vampire Weekend and Los Campesinos! are undoubtedly responsible for my two favourite debut albums of 2008 (so far). Musica vitalista y desenfadada que nos llama al disfrute sin mas pero no exenta de calidad. Entre sus preferencias están Pavement, Broken Social Scene o Yo La Tengo (no tienen mal gusto) y de hecho este ep ha sido producido por David Newfeld, miembros de los anteriormente citados BSS.Creo que darán que hablar por aquí como ya lo han hecho entre británicos y canadienses.
