2008-05-02 21:38:00 A lot of us are working at weight loss… But is that all we want to lose? I’ve been thinking about this ever since I posted those teenage pictures a few days ago. When I look at my younger self, I not only see a thinner me, but also a more hopeful, more innocent, more care-free me. And while I know that I can’t undo the last 13 years, and I don’t necessarily want to, I think a part of me wants to regain some of that innocence, hope and exuberance. My extra weight is weighing me down in more ways than one. Don’t get me wrong… I love where I am in my life. I’m always moving forward. I’m with the man I want to share the rest of my life with. We are making big and exciting plans. I’m learning new skills and discovering new aspects of myself all the time. I’m very happy. But. I know that I am not treating myself as well as I should. I have this long history of failing myself. Let’s face it, when you gain a lot of weight ...

After he incident, the statement said, he "felt a little lost and needed to get away.""It got a bit overwhelming and I needed to be alone," he said.I can dig it, but seeing that his manager is Rickey Romance [Raz B's brother] that rang the alarm looking for Raz means this whole ordeal get a straight side eye. 2008-04-13 02:43:00 I was looking for a particular grammar usage book when I came across a box filled with memories. There were CDs in there that I had been searching all over for. There were presents from students I had forgotten about. There was a Japanese wooden toy, a traditional Mexican calendar (I think that's what it is!), several Korean magnets and bookmarks, as well as a glass portrait of the Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus (with a wooden stand) given to me by my Mexican students. At first, I wasn't sure if my Mexican students were kidding me when they gave it to me, but they were serious :) Being an ESL teacher, I get some pretty interesting presents!What surprised me the most was unearthing these next few oldies! It was a bittersweet moment. I found oodles and oodles of art work that I had done. Funny... I noticed how I only feel inspired to draw, sketch or paint when I'm experiencing conflict in my life. From what I have seen in these posts, no LL really wants to get screwed out of his money.How I base my decision are on these facts:I have lived in this apartment (it's a 4 plex) for almost 5 years. In those 5 years, I have seen quite a few people come and go and NOT 1 of them have ever received their security deposit back..for whatever reason. LL's are good for that. Since 2005 (Katrina) one of my windows has been leaking everytime it rains. I have spoken to and showed him the leak on many occassions. There is also on place on the ceiling near the window & above my computer that gets wet. Since the window has been leaking for so long now, the wall underneath the window is rotting and moldy. I discussed the mold issue with him since I have been having severe allergies - His suggestion: take zyrtec...that's what he does since he has allergies. He also gave me a few extra ceiling tiles so that I could replace the wet ones.....

Well Patsy contacted me today to say after 6 days on his own, Jaz was found late friday evening. Patsy asked me to thank everyone who prayed for the safe return of Jaz. This has turned into a really nice story after Patsy felt dejected after losing her faithful friend Jaz. Just a few days later she is feeling the exact opposite, elation. It goes to show, a little faith and a prayer can turn any situation around. I am sure Patsy has gained more than the safe return of her dog in the last few days. God bless everyone.

Got an excuse to buy Nokia 3230. Its got every technology i can think of. 1.3 Mega-pixel camera, MP3 player, FM radio. Blue tooth, IR and loads of other applications. What more can you ask for 14k.It has some cons too like other mortal things in this world:1. Its slower than Nokia 6670 and 7610. Slower Processor.2. It has only 6 MB phone memory and 32 MB Reduced Memory card. You have to invest on additional MMC if you wish to store loads of movies or MP3s. 6MB phone memory reduces the max size of applications you can receive thru bbluetooth and no of applications you can run simultaneously. Biggest drawback of this cell. 6670 , 7610 and 6600 have 10 Mb phone memory and 64 MB MMC.3.Protruding keys with gaps gives space for dirt to set in.4.Data cable not free with the set like 6670 and 7610.And pros are aplenty:...

2006-08-12 20:24:14 I was a little bummed about a year ago when I thought I had lost my High School graduation ring. Well not really lost it I really thought it was stolen, but that is a different story. Not that a graduation ring is worth much to anyone but the person that earned it (it has my name on it), it was claimed to have been taken for some sort of revenge I guess. So I have spent the last year a little sad that it was gone, but the other night I was cleaning out a “junk drawer” (we all have them) and lo and behold there it was. My ring had been hiding in the drawer all along (the picture is the exact way I found it, it was under several layers of papers). I did not realize how much weight I have lost since high school, because the ring does not stay on my finger any more it just falls off. I can almost wear it on my thumb. |
