2008-03-07 02:48:00 It seems that Pope Benedict may be reconsidering Pope Leo's condemnation of Martin Luther as a heretic. If so, it is quite a step forward from Cardinal Ratzinger's 1998 reaction to the Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification ... but I will believe it when it moves beyond media speculation and the words actually come with a Vatican seal attached.
