It was interesting that the laptop worked shorter with Windows. With MacOS X it operated 253 minutes (4h 13 minutes) without load. In Windows it worked only scarcely 3h (probable because of the continuously running WLAN and Bluetooth). Under full load the mobile computer reached only 1h 01 min in Windows - rather below average. MCE introduces a 1TB upgrade for the Macbook Pro

The company however has a new trick that it's pulling out of it's proverbial hat, this time for the 17-inch Macbook Pro. The owners of the beloved large screen Macbook Pro's can now also sport some major storage space in the shape of a new kit that comes with 2x500gb Drives one designed to replace the Macbook's stock optical drive with one of the 2.5 inch hard drives. The other 500gb drive is designed to replace the hard drive that's currently built-in to the Macbook itself bringing the total storage space to 1TB internal. In a bit of a bonus they also throw in 2 external cases one for the original hard drive and the other is for the optical drive so that none of the hardware goes without usage. The new MacBooks are based on Intel's Penryn CPUs and include larger hard drives. The upgraded MacBook Pros are also based on Intel's Penryn CPU; however, they also include nvidia graphic processors with up to 512MB of video memory and Apple's Multi-Touch keyboard first introduced in the MacBook Air.
