Some marathons shine brighter than others in this highly competitive field of events. The Laguna Phuket International Marathon is one of them, due its incredibly scenic route along some of the island’s best beaches and on roads that wind through shady rubber plantations. Now in its third year, the marathon will attract as many a 1,500 runners from 40 countries, who will complete in a variety of events, 15 June, including the 42 km marathon, a half marathon, a 10.5 km and 5 km walk. San Diego Rock and Roll Marathon Tomorrow
2008-05-31 16:21:00 Bags are packed, running shoes are ready, mind is set, last chiropractor session yesterday, 10 Gu gels and hot shot blocks purchased.... now what? I don't like anticipation in these final hours before a race. The cattle call of a Southwest flight, the bus transfer, hotel check in - can't I do a video conference? I keep looking at the image of me finishing the race in my mind, then work backwards to the starting line. That keeps me going. Also, feeling me say that I finished a marathon, gives me proof that I can do it. Interesting year 40 mid life crisis symptom - better than a red Ferrari. Some I watched with people right next to me, and others I just watched alone. I'm not sure if it is better to have the comfort of another human being close by or not when you are watching this sort of stuff. Part of it I did on a dare.Normally, I mostly do not watch this stuff, but I have gotten into watching reaction videos lately, just to check out the brief glimpse of another human being you see when they are watching something really sick, wrong and gross.It's a waste of time, but compared to the usual wastes of time most people engage in nowadays, I think it's actually a good waste of time, especially if you watch the person having the reaction, figure out their age and try to imagine their life, social situation and get a glimpse into their personality.It's got to be better than listening the same gangsta rap video playing over and over, which is what passes for fun ar...

Four overtime periods were needed and the game lasted a total of 129 minutes and 3 seconds. 2008-04-22 18:51:00 First time ever Euro Puppy USA went to the Boston Marathon. It was a lot of fun and an experience we will never forget. No, there were no dogs running the Marathon. It was Sandor Joo from Hungary who ran under the Euro Puppy USA flag. Sandor is a well recognized marathon and ultra marathon runner in Hungary. As many other marathon runners' dream, his dream was to run on the Boston Marathon which is probably one of the top five most recognized Marathons in the world. Euro Puppy USA was happy to sponsor him on this memorable experience. His bib number was 2118. He began the race from the second coral which is where the best 2000-2999 runners were. He is 40 years old and his dream was to be within the first 300 in his devision and overall 1500 out of the 26000+ runners. We are very proud of him. Sandor finished 289th in his division and was 1302nd overall. Here are a few photos of Sandor and the race. Please leave a comment if you also ran on the Boston Marathon in 2008.
