2007-03-08 22:34:01 Here's a recent Mark Farina video of him playing "Dream Machine" at a club in Brazil, which seems to have been a request (via a big sign held up) by some people in the crowd. I've never seen him (live or on video) dancing as much as he does in this video!

2007-02-17 10:25:03 Here's a recent YouTube video I found of Mark Farina playing at "Sea of Dreams" (probably the name of the nightclub). This is the first video I've seen of him where he's playing Mushroom Jazz (or at least that's what I think he's playing!). Nice and slow music, but still very funky and it sounds good! In the last few bits of the video he's mixing into another track.

He talks about how he started DJing at the age of 15 or 16, by hanging around in the DJ booth of a club DJ. He also says how Chicago is an open House genre, which includes minimal, techy, etc., and about how he likes to include a bit of old, a bit of new, something different, deep and some classics in his set, while keeping a good vibe happening throughout.
