Marketers, Social Media, Barriers And Methods – eMarketer Report
2009-09-03 07:48:00
Social Media as a Marketing tool is still quite new with people still trying to work out optimum expenditure on the medium and discussing the probability of fixing analytics on the medium. How much impact does a Tweet make? What’s the return on investment? We recently did an article on social media and brand reputation. Earlier, emarketer has published a report about how 59% of marketers in the USA already use Social media with a projected 87% planning to use it by the next year. Funware, A New Game Theory For Marketers
2009-06-07 17:09:00
The generation of the new online game players has motivated consumer brands, websites and charities to use gaming devices to attract attention to their products and services. "Funware" is the application of game-like qualities to non-games. Researchers say that when we play online games, we enter a "flow state" that makes us receptive to the images and information we encounter. While traditional commercials interrupt that state, funware allows for these messages to seep through.

MARKETERS: You're SOLVING the WRONG problems?
2008-09-05 19:37:00
Stop! You?re solving the wrong problem!(A bed time tale) At one time you could create new products based on consumer want and need. Brand relevancy was easy. You were one of a kind. Then the pool of easy-to-see wants and needs dried up. Copy-cats tom, dick and harry converged on the same position doing the same thing with their own new products. Categories got crowded. Unable to better differentiate products, marketers resorted to pre-conceived strategies developed on their own. Boiler plate templates like price value propositions or recipe dissemination. Suddenly directly-connected consumers lost contact with original brands and became distant cousins. Heavily segmented price-driven commodity categories ensued due to self-inflicted wounds that sliced and diced categories until consumers strongly sought price-driven quality brands like Kirkland instead. The once powerful ?brand? began trading on price. As new generations of management moved in, consumer?s ability to relate weakened....

For Part-Time Internet Marketers: Does Your Work Sap Away Your Energy To Do
2008-05-05 19:59:00
Hi friends, Recently, I have been so busy at work and so burnt out from using my brain that I seem to have lost all interest in my work as well as in my internet marketing strategies. I can be sitting in front of the laptop after work and just not doing anything. The brain seems to freeze and no ideas, no inspiration and definitely a lost of momentum. Most likely, this lifestyle will be over in the beginning of July when I am out of this job but for the time being, the struggles between work and online business is really bad. The good thing though, I manage to secure $50+ dollars in commissions even though no action was done on my side at all. So more spare cash to spend when I am finally out of work.  If you have any ideas for a JV for a project, let’s do it since I have the spare time coming up. B2B Marketers Should Embrace "Tire Kickers"
2008-04-17 06:28:00
Should marketers avoid paying for prospects who are early in the buying process and not ready to submit personal information or be contacted by a sales person? Should these "tire kickers" be avoided so that marketers can focus their attention on generating more valuable, sales-ready leads? While this approach may seem logical at first, I believe it is short-sighted and ultimately leaves a lot of money on the table.Early-buying-phase searchersOne of the biggest challenges I've experienced working with B2B marketers is overcoming their belief that if a searcher doesn't immediately register, sign-up, download, or complete a Contact Us form - then the prospect is not valuable and not worth the effort or the price of the click.Actually, nothing could be further from the truth. I believe there is huge value in utilizing search marketing to reach prospects early and frequently throughout the entire buying cycle - including the very first stages. Getting in front of prospects early allows...

Marketers Beware?Don?t Leave Out The Customer!
2008-04-15 06:59:00
Where to place more value, which to take care of more ? brands or customers? The perennial question which gnaws every brand and corporate identity conscious company! But is this question so difficult? After all a brand as a stand alone entity without any takers, read customers, is nothing but epitome of resource wastage. Brands can have little relationship to the success or profitability of companies. Consider "Sock Puppet," Commodore, Skytrain and other brands or brand images that have died, not for lack of great branding or corporate identity of the brand holding company, but for the lack of customers. GM recently announced that Buick and Pontiac may follow Oldsmobile to the brand graveyard, discovering, like so many others, that all the "brand equity" in the world cannot pay a single healthcare or other bill. So why do companies err on the side of branding by devoting attention to increasing the value of the brands? They get entangled in the buzzwords such as "brand equity," "...
