Why White Nationalists Hate Communists
2008-08-29 09:09:00 The latest death toll figures from Hurricane Katrina can be seen on this website here. The famous Russian neo-Nazi video is on this blog here.Updated September 2:I'm going to use the word White Nationalist for White racist, but it's true - 98% of White nationalists are racists. On the other hand, many WN's are not neo-Nazis. The neo-Nazis are one end of the spectrum and the American Renaissance types are at the other hand. Whatever you say about the Amren guys, they're not Nazis.I gave WN's the benefit of the doubt and studied them with an open mind for a long time, assuming the null hypothesis that they are not racists, but it's true. Most WN's don't like anyone who isn't White. A lot only like Europeans. There are some who like NE Asians, and some others who like SE Asians too.I don't think any of them like Arabs or North Africans, Afghans, Pakistanis, or Indians. Some like Iranians, but usually only a few. All WN's really hate Black people. If there is one thing that h...

Why Black People Can't Be Racist
2008-08-02 00:29:00 Updated 10:32 PM: The original title, Why White People Can't Be Racist , was in error, which is obvious if you read the post. The title has now been corrected to its original intended form.Actually, it's not my title. It's the title of a post written by Andrew Austin, a brilliant professor and fine writer whom I respect a lot, in response to an email from me. He's also a Communist, and both of us are members of the CPUSA. We do differ on a variety of issues though.Andrew is very much in the spirit of Cultural Marxism in much of his analysis, which I regard as just another type of Identity Politics. He doesn't neglect economic analysis though.I will just reprint the post in toto here, make some comments and then let the rest of you have at it. I'll probably respond to it at a later date: Robert Lindsay's criticism of my arguments posted on his blog are curious because he appreciates my attack upon White Supremacy while rejecting the logic upon which my argument rests. Putting...

Problems of Democracy Under Capitalism
2008-06-11 07:13:00 Updated June 18:I've always been opposed to public dishonesty, which is one of my problems with Communist states. They lied about so many things that now even when they tell the truth, people figure that "All Communists lie," so they are unlikely to be believed even when they are honest. You get a "boy who cried wolf" syndrome.Well, capitalists are pretty much the same. Almost all capitalists will always lie to defend their own interests. That is why whenever a businessman or business interest is quoted in the paper on some controversial issue, they are almost always lying. So it seems that in order to be a businessman in capitalist society, one must lie continuously. There are cultures, such as Arab, Japanese, Thai and Filipino culture, where lying is definitely a state of art. American society proscribes all lying as evil, and your average American will tell you that he never lies. The Japanese mindset, which I subscribe to, is, "Only an idiot never tells a lie."So there is a time...

Manuel Marulanda
2008-06-09 05:25:00 Great photo of Manuel Marulanda (seated) from the early days. The more classic view that people are a lot more familiar with - the veteran revolutionary and guerrilla. In the background are uniformed FARC troops. Updated June 18:I've already been over on this blog why the Colombian revolutionaries really have no alternative but to fight. When they tried to lay down their weapons, they were slaughtered like flies. As long as there is no open space for peaceful dissent in Colombia, armed struggle will be a sensible option.Via a couple of articles out of People's Movement Support Group, we now learn a lot more about Sure Shot - Manuel Marulanda. The essential moment in the Colombian struggle and the one that actually gave rise to the FARC 16 years later was the assassination of Jorge Eliécer Gaitán, the presidential candidate that the people had pinned their hopes on.Colombia has always been ruled by two ruling class parties - the Liberals and the Conservatives. Although they hated ea...

Open Borders is Bad For Workers
2008-05-21 09:22:00 Commenter James Schipper of Canada points out what any economics student or especially Marxist ought to be able to figure out: that open borders is terrible for workers in high-wage countries. That the Left in high-wage countries supports such an obviously detrimental to workers agenda means that it completely misunderstands the economics of modern capitalism.Nowadays, the Western Left can only be said to be worker-hostile towards native workers. They support immigrant workers, and it is a known fact that immigrant workers in many cases in the West have been shown to actually lower wages for native workers. The Left responds that this is a lie.Even worse, the Left calls any Western Leftist who opposes certain modes of immigration racist. At best, this is a grotesque abuse of the term similar to the way many objectively reactionary groups are overusing this word these days. At worst, it is slander and name-calling.The Left's objective hostility to native workers in the West has resu...

Time To Junk Internationalism?
2008-05-19 10:35:00 Superb commenter James Schipper takes on internationalism and suggests that nationalism is better for workers in this most interesting comment from the comments section of a recent post. My comments follow. I will say that I have a problem with nationalism in general and especially with the sound of the term "national socialism" for obvious reasons. Nationalism leads inevitably to racism, it seems. But following pure internationalist logic, we are obligated to completely open borders. If you go over to leftwing and liberal pro-immigrant sites and prod them a bit, you often find that they actually do believe in Open Borders for the US.That would mean that at some point, 1/3 of the world would be here, and 1/2 of Mexico (since 1/3 of the world and 1/2 of Mexico wants to come to the US). I argue that this would be a disaster for this country for many reasons. For one thing, we would become some kind of Calcutta West. For the environment, it would be a complete catastrophe. At least at th...

J. Slavyanski on a Few Things
2008-05-16 23:15:00 Updated May 20:J. Slavyanski is a US Marxist-Leninist currently residing in Moscow. His new blog is Red Banner; his former one is Eastern Star. I'm sure that I qualify as a revisionist in his book, as a member of the CPUSA, Cuba, Vietnam, Laos and even Daniel Ortega. The CPUSA is even a supporter of the CCP's (Chinese government) economic model last time I checked.Anyway, he had some interesting comments on the issue of sex trafficking and whether or not the former Eastern Bloc and USSR were "pro-White", as some White Nationalists are starting to say: First off, thank you for informing people about women-trafficking. It is indeed a pet issue for me, and sometimes people wonder why. It is very simple- because nobody likes to talk about it. I remember reading a BBC report about Kosovo shortly before they gained independence. Seeing that the ruling regime in Kosovo is a total sycophant to the EU and US, it writes in glowing terms about the night clubs, the hip youth culture, etc.Not ...

It Was Raining Holodomor Lies
2008-05-16 11:31:00 Updated May 17:They rained down and down, as far as anyone could see and for as long as anyone could remember. It was a thunderstorm of "Holodomor" lies, and no one knew when they had started. It seemed they would never end. When you asked around, folks treated the "Holodomor" lies as a normal thing, like the sun, the moon and rain, and about as controversial as any of them. If you questioned their Holy "Holodomor" Lying Grail, they kind of looked at you funny, then they changed the subject. It was 1930's Ukraine in the heart of 2008 America. Everyone knew that Stalin had deliberately starved 6 million Ukrainians to death. They had all seen the faked pictures of the starving frog boy, the corpses on the street, and all of the other lie pics taken from the Russian Civil War famine of 1921 and glommed by Nazi William Heart onto 1933 Ukraine.I went to my blog and it was raining "Holodomor" lies again. I knew there was no escape as long as Nazi-symps kept coming to the blog:Joseph Stalin...

Black Theology & Black Power
2008-05-06 22:30:00 Introduction: This is a descriptive review of Black Theology & Black Power by James H. Cone, (New York: [Harper & Row, 1969]. Keep in mind that according to Cone?s ideas in 1969, Black theology demands ?blackness ...

At Least Marx Had Integrity
2008-04-22 12:15:00 An EARTH DAY SPECIAL from Churchill’s Parrot blog Granted Karl Marx was a bitter, self-loathing, misanthrope, half-crazed with envy and his own depraved world view, but at least he had integrity. When advocating the implementation of his beloved communism, for instance, he made no attempt to sugar coat what would be required: ?The proletariat will use its ...
Pakistan Adimst the Ruins
2008-04-21 12:04:00 Pakistan amidst the ruins. Read those figures over and tell me that she does not need socialism, and socialism, now. If the word socialism gives you the shivers, how about at least the socialism of Sri Lanka, which has managed to produce spectacular figures in all areas that Pakistan has so lacked. How can anyone possibly look at these kind of figures and tell me that capitalism works at all in the 3rd World? They are just starting? Hell, they have had 60 years to practice. Enough already. Capitalism in South Asia is killing at least 8 million people every year, year and year out, no exceptions. That right there is an excellent reasons for Maoists across the subcontinent to take up arms to overthrow the existing system and put in whatever they choose.Anything that kills fewer than 8 million a year is better than the status quo, right? So why worry about killing a few here and there? Is it worth killing a few to save a million? Of course it is, always was, always will be. Let us see t...

Great Commie Blog - Eastern Star
2008-04-13 11:12:00 Unfortunately, J Slavyanski of Eastern Star is a Hoxhaite (a supporter of Enver Hoxha, the former leader of Communist Albania) but his blog is still one of the finest ones out there. He's a superb author, with a fine style and a great sardonic sense of humor. An American who has drifted through all sorts of political positions before landing smack into anti-revisionist Communism, he has currently relocated to Moscow, which is where he authors the blog from. In his previous incarnations, unfortunately, he was a Nazi, or National Socialist, or some such thing. Now he has gone all the way over to the Left.My mother is fond of telling me how in Eric Hoffer's The True Believer, Hoffer reports how people would join the Nazi Party one week and the Communists the next. But there was a lot of drifting around in the days of the chaotic Weimar, and the Nazis were pretending to be socialists anyway, thereby confusing and co-opting a lot of working class folks. In real life, I have not seen muc...

Why Cuba Is a Democracy and the U.S. Is Not
2008-04-02 11:56:00 Interesting article at a neat website called Double Standards. Most of my media consumption is this sickening garbage called US media. One of the major annoying this about this US media addiction habit of mine is that the media is lying to me all the time. I don't mind being lied to if I can figure out that I am being lied to. This is where I object. I can't often tell that the US media is lying to me.One thing that is clear is that the joke of a liberal media, not to mention a Communist media, in the US is some kind of a cruel. But head on over to American Renaissance (the racist right) or, really, any standard US conservative sites and you will find that many conservatives, in addition to being soulless pricks, are also stark raving bats insane. They actually believe that there is a liberal media somewhere in the US, and many believe that the US media is actually socialist or Communist. There is not one speck of truth to this nonsense. There are five main US news stations - ABC, ...

Another Communist Failure: Cartoons
2008-04-02 10:09:00 The first part of this introduction will be written in standard anti-Communist crap boilerplate of the sort that you read in the US press, magazines and books, see on US TV and hear on US radio.According to this line, Communism totally failed at everything it ever tried to do! Amazing. There was not one single area of life in which the Communists did not fail, not one. The failure was so immense and all-encompassing that one wonders how any Communist countries lasted even a year. Furthermore, Communist societies were rife with horrible poverty and the people were always starving, year and year out.And those who were not starving were being systematically murdered in the worst genocides ever known to man. Never mind that most Communist societies eliminated hunger far quicker and better than most or all comparable non-Communist societies.Never mind that Communist societies set world records for doubling life expectancy in the shortest period of time. Never mind, according to the lates...

Updated March 24, 2008:A very nice, but somewhat dated (though the situation has probably only gotten worse), review of The Camp of Saints, one of the most hated books ever written. The link is on the execrable Free Republic, and the author of the review is a libertarian fool. Looks like Jean Raspail, the author of the book, was some kind of rightwing nut too. They both blame "socialism" for causing such horrible living conditions, along with starvation and mass and early death and disease, that afflict the Third World. This is truly bizarre. Even autarkic Albania nearly doubled life expectancy from 1946 to 1980, though it was not very successful in other ways.Almost all of the true Third World nightmare states are operating under some kind of capitalism, usually a particularly ferocious. That socialism is good for life can been seen in the fig...

The Little Book That Shook The World
2008-03-05 10:16:00 Updated March 6:160 years ago, two Germans wrote a little book. As the fine Indian Marxist blogger at A Reader's Words notes, "the world has not stopped listening ever since." The very words are powerful as a thunderstorm, from the very start: "A specter haunts the capitalist world - the specter of Communism!" - to the end: "Workers of the world unite! You have nothing to lose but your chains!"I don't know about you, but I read those words and my heart skips a beat. Those words were written to rattle your very boots.Set to a great montage of old cartoons, this audio version of the Communist Manifesto is easy listening and fun watching for anyone smart enough to make sense of it. The beautiful prose of Marx (his glorious writing skills are little remarked on) should please any connoisseur of the English language. How is it this book was written 160 years ago yet it is so relevant today? Is he not writing in 1860 from the very future we now live in? How can it be denied?Whatever one ...

2008-02-20 11:01:00 Thinking over the omnipresent "Communism is Jewish" and "Jewish Bolshevik" meme that I am constantly running into, I decided to Google "JewSSR" just for the Hell of it. I did not think that anything would come up; I figured Nazis were too dumb to think of that one. Unfortunately, 21 links do come up, almost all from White Nationalist or out and out Neo-Nazi sites.Stormfront got a couple, National Vanguard got four, Majority Rights got one, some weird Nazi site called First Amendment Exercise Machine got two, and a creepy site called Hitler Research (note the charming background) had one. Warning: all sites are highly racist. We've already gone over the "Communism is Jewish" enough on this blog, and there is no need to rehash old arguments. Furthermore, I am really sick and tired of debating it. For those who are new to the discussion, my previous post goes into great detail on the matter.I really think that Communists ought to come up with some good arguments against this meme, as i...

The famous Russian neo-Nazi video is on this blog here.Updated February 19, 2008:Interesting video about the Hindutva movement (in this case the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) in India. I really cannot put into words how much hatred I feel for these people. Watch the video and see if you can figure out how this is a fascist movement. If you can't figure it out, or still think that fascism and Communism are all the same, you need to either do a lot more reading, or else you are hopeless.Note that the RSS wants to "assimilate" all non-Hindus to Hinduism. They also say that all non-Hindus in India were originally Hindu. This may be true for most, but it is not very relevant. What they are saying, in effect, is that all of these religions are still Hindu. Their Hinduism is imbued with the blood and soil of India, a part of their soul, inseparable from their nationality and race. These are all clas...

The Communist Party Great Britain Marxist-Leninist, basically a hardline pro-Stalin group, last time I checked. This document is interesting for various reasons. For one, it shows that hardline Communist rhetoric in the style of the former USSR is still popular. The PFLP are lauded for being a hardline Marxist-Leninist organization. It's hard to say whether they still are or not, as they seem to be downplaying this in recent years, and no one really knows what Communism even means anymore. It is true that there was a Communist state in South Yemen, but I am not sure if they accomplished much down there.O...

Indianismo and Marxism: The mismatch of two revolutionary rationales
2008-01-30 01:11:00 via Bolivia Rising - Alvaro Garcia Linera (with introduction by Richard Fidler) This important article by Álvaro García Linera, now vice-president of Bolivia, was first published in 2005. It traces the contradictory evolution of the two most influential revolutionary currents in the country's 20th century history and argues that Marxism, as originally interpreted by its Bolivian adherents, failed to address the outstanding concerns of the Indigenous majority. García Linera suggests, however, that the evolution of indianismo in recent decades opens perspectives for a renewal of Marxist thought and potentially the reconciliation of the two currents in a higher synthesis. Although framed within the Bolivian context, his argument clearly has implications for the national and anti-imperialist struggle in other parts of Abya Yale (the indigenous name for the western hemisphere). Although Bolivia won formal independence from Spain in 1825, its national character remained fr...

Ron Paul as Israeli-Lobby Killer
2008-01-04 14:24:00 Via fellow blogger Joachim Martillo. Martillo dissects the Ron Paul phenomenon, then follows with a piece by his wife, Karin Friedman. Both are Jews who converted to Islam. Martillo makes some interesting points.First of all, Paul obviously has serious xenophobic tendencies. It's preposterous to eliminate all student visas from "terrorist nations", whatever that means. It's hard enough to get any kind of a visa from the Muslim World these days anyway.Martillo seems to be correct that Paul used to be a segregationist, and it is very disturbing that Paul is the favorite candidate of the White Racist Far Right. Paul has made some statements against Blacks that were regarded as racist in 1992. I have reviewed those remarks and do not find them to be racist, in general, though I am not certain that "95% of young Black males in Washington, DC are semi-criminal or criminal".Of course free market libertarianism not only leads to monopolies, but it is also impossible. Zionist Christmas in Bethlehem
2007-12-26 17:23:00 Via my friend Joachim Martillo (his blog is EEAZI - Ethnic Ashkenazim Against Zionist Israel), here is a belated Christmas present for my readers. It's called Bethlehem Christmas Cancelled: The Wall Must Fall. There are more such videos on this Youtube page here. The video is well-done and focuses on the Israeli "Security Wall" or "Apartheid Wall", whichever you prefer, that currently wraps around much of Bethlehem. The Wall has economically strangled the town also.Bethlehem used to be about 80% Christian, but although figures like 20% Christian are still tossed around (mostly by Zionists), the correct figure is probably around ~35%. There has been a substantial exodus from the town in recent years. There has been a lot of talk about the reasons for this exodus, with Zionists focusing on Muslim discrimination against and attacks upon Christians. The truth is that most of the Christian exodus is economic. Bethlehem is now hemmed in by the Wall and checkpoints on all entrances to the o...

The hard to find Russian neo-Nazi beheading video taking the net by storm is on this blog here.Updated November 3:It's a funny thing, Jewish power in the West. A terrifying thing. As soon as you ask, people turn away.No one wants to comment, certainly not on record. If you are lucky, someone may talk to you off the record. If they get caught, the secret police may arrest them and sentence them to years in prison. This spine-tingling image conjures up visions of the most terror-riven modern societies. Nowhere in that entire corpus does he envision a society so cowed with fear that the residents dare not speak.Which brings us to the Jew...

James Carroll Paints Columbus Day Red
2007-10-08 18:49:00 The modern version of Karl Marx is at it again. This individual really is a fool and ITS articles are "Rather" incoherent. I suppose that is why so many of the feeble-minded are so easily led astray by the short hairs from true American Patriotism.Just a few weeks ago, the incoherent writer of drivel opined about Labor Day and what it means and today, Columbus Day, the wannabe Engelsesque tripish sad-sack is at it again. The pathetic crowds of the anti-Americanists of which "mister" Carroll is surely a member thereof should actually move to where they can give Marxism a real try out...not here. We will not stand for it in this country any longer. The Conservative Tsunami will wash this puke out to sea as well.Captain Ed wrote of this fool back here and today here:We heard from James Carroll five weeks ago, when he attempted to argue that "Marxism has yet to be really tried" as a Labor Day analysis, which emphasized the first two syllables. The Invisible Hand of Starvation
2007-09-23 05:06:00 There are not many people in the US more dishonest than libertarians and Cuban exiles. In fact, if you ask an average American about Cuba, this is probably what they will tell you.The rightwing capitalist media in the US lies about few things more than Communism and socialism. There is almost nothing more threatening to them than a system that has seriously restrained the privileges of capital, so they pull out all the stops in terms of shameless lying to in the Brainwash War to make sure this idea does not get too popular with Americas. Not only do they want to kill the idea here, they want to kill it the world over. Anarchism versus Marxism
2007-05-05 12:34:00 Although anarchism and Marxism are both socialist political theories, and they share the view that a communal, participatory, voluntary, de-centralised society is an end goal worth pursuing, they differ in many respects, and should not be confused. Of course they are far from internally homogeneous theories themselves, but I’ll leave that issue to another entry. They tend to differ more when in comes to means, rather than ends. So they both criticise capitalist economy, bourgeois society, and the liberal democratic state, and they have both looked to the working class movement to bring their respective visions into fruition. But there differences are not trivial: for example, one of the most basic distinctions between Marxism and anarchism is that Marxists generally do not have an issue with organising themselves into hierarchies, whilst anarchists cannot countenance hierarchical structure within their organisations, they must always be based on equality and pure democracy.  In...
Reflections on Black Marxism
2007-04-23 22:03:00 By TRAVIS TATUMRace & Class Vol. 47(2)4/23/07Abstract: Black Marxism, Cedric Robinson?s work on the Black radical tradition is, in effect, a challenge to the basic cultural and social assumptions of western society. These assumptions ? the underlying ?terms of order? holding society together ? limit our perception of the choices that are available to us, even seeping into programmes for radical change, such as Marxism. But by recovering the hidden histories of resistance by those on the margins of capitalism, in this case in the African diaspora, we can move beyond the misconceptions and myths that bind us to power. The re-emergence of Black Marxism: the making of the Black radical tradition comes at a most opportune time, given the current political ascendancy of conservatism in American politics. Indeed, so long is it since the fall of the Soviet Union and the Berlin wall, one wonders whether or not there is even an interest in Marxism. And, in this regard, Robinson?s title may see...
