Mas os erros são normalmente um sinal de que se deram passos em falso, de que se teve coragem de arriscar numa visão que podia não resultar nas mentes de algumas pessoas. En primer lugar, entiendo por qué Woody Allen quiso rodarla en Londres y no en Nueva York. Aparte de la clara referencia a "Crimen y castigo", en todo momento me recordó a las tragedias de Shakespeare, como Macbeth o Romeo y Julieta, con escenas muy cercanas a un contexto teatral. 2007-06-14 13:04:00 I finally saw Match Point last night. It's always nice when you watch a film that got good reviews and now you can finally see what's so good about it yourself. It is really a fantastic film, very intense, great development of characters. You would think all of this would be done before, there wouldn't be anything new to this story of betrayal and an unfaithful husband. But somehow Woody Allen takes it to a whole new level. The ending is full of suspense. It's greatly done. Even the great Alfred Hitchcock came to mind at some point. The film starts slowly, then at the middle everything takes its place to end with a bang. For so many times you're left unsure of what is about to happen. He managed to nail the slide into obsession perfectly, while always maintaining a facade of respectability and pretence. He truly comes into his own in the final quarter of the film and while at times I felt the storyline surrounding the murders was bordering on melodrama, the character still managed to convince the audience (along with himself) that it was the only option he had. I thought he gave a very thought provoking and convincing performance. Scarlett Johansson (Nola) This was the best acting I have seen Scarlett do. She too descends into obsession and desperation, and she does so with sympathy from the audience for her predicament. She is beautiful and tragic and she manages to keep the tension in her performance throughout the film.
