I received my Maybelline Lash Stiletto mascara in the post yesterday and couldnt wait to try it out! I put it on this morning and this is what i thought:What i like about it:The brush is nice, it gets all the eyelashes covered and its easy to applyIt lengthens lashesIt doesnt make your lashes clump loads even after a few coatsWhat i didnt like about it:The packaging - its not a huge deal and doesnt make any difference to the product but in my opinion the packaging looks a bit 80s, like something i would have found in my moms make up bag when i was little. I know its the heel of a stiletto but the red silver and black just doesnt do it for me...You need to apply a few coats to get fuller lashes - although it lengthens it doesnt really make your lashes look more.Final verdict: Its not the best maybelline mascara but its not bad either. I dont think i would buy it again though i prefer the XXL Curl one.3.5/5

Maybelline AGE REWIND highlight and conceal

In my everyday life I don’t use concealer much, but I’m making an extra special effort to even my skin while on a trip to LA so I took along my Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Double Face Perfector.  In one little tube you get both a concealer and a highlighter.  I just used the concealer on some little blemishes and the highlighter on my brow bone and a dot on the inside of my eye.  There’s plenty more an experienced hand would use this for but I’m keeping it simple today and rewind just a little bit.  Thanks to Total Beauty and CEW for the chance to try this.  It’s perfect for travel, will fit right into your carry on baggy.   This is a sales Alert and Groundhog Day spoiler!   My Walmart had Maybelline Great Lash in 2 packs for only $3.98!  A great price and fantastic product. This is a great time to stock up on those pink and green tubes now that you know Punxsutawney Phil has forecasted six more weeks of winter.  I’m really hoping the little guy has got it wrong and things are going to heat up a little!  We’ve had enough snow and cold weather this year in Maine! All those pink and green tubes are like a little touch of spring for us all! My favorite lip color right now is Desert Sunset from Maybelline’s Moisture Extreme line.  I really like Moisture Extreme because it makes my lips softer without wearing chapstick.  I don’t like to wear chapstick under my lipcolor (does anyone?) so the result is usually feathered dry lips which is the absolute worst look ever.  I’m also a big fan of doing two things at once!  Moisture Extreme has an SPF 15 which will prevent sunburn too, this is not really a problem for me but I figure it can’t hurt to have some extra sun protection.  There are lots of colors to choose from and it has a light watermelon-y scent to remind you of summer, summer, summertime… Photo Credit: Amazon Share This Tags: lip, lipstick, make up, Maybelline, spf

They just keep getting it so very right for me at the moment! Maybelline is usually one of those brands I barely give a second thought to. Perhaps a nailpolish here or there if I’m after a very specific colour, possibly an eyeliner for much the same reason… but that’s about as far as my Maybelline exploration has ever gone. Until now.
