New Enhanced Incomeshield Assist riders after 15th Nov
2007-11-12 08:36:00 NTUC Income will be replacing their rider with a new rider call Asisst Rider. from 1 Jan 2008 With this new rider, there will be a 10% co-sharing subject to a max of 3k for Preferred plan. If bill is $500, insured pay $50 If bill is 100,000, insured pay max 3k of which can be from his medisave or emergency cash. The 4 days advance notification will also be removed. The existing rider will continue to be available to existing policyholder but premium is expected to increase by about 50% due to inflation and higher benefits payout. The new Asisst Rider is price about 20-30% lesser than the newly increased existing rider. This would take effect only after 15th Nov. For those who enhanced Incomeshield riders remain unchanged. To make it easier for our policyholders to switch from their existing standard Incomeshield plans to the corresponding Enhanced Incomeshield plans (e.g from Plan A to Enhanced Advantage plan), we have been waiving the underwriting requirement for this type of upgrade. We term such upgrade as “Lateral Upgrade”. 2. With effect from 1 August 2007, we would require underwriting for all upgrade of plans, including Lateral Upgrade. Policyholders are required to fill up the Upgrade Form for upgrade of plans and would be subjected to underwriting. Adequate time has been given for policyholders to make the switch, as the window period has been available for more than 1 year.
