The Microphones is the name of a project that Anacortes, WA's Phil Elverum has headed since the late 90s. Its sound is best described as lo-fi "fuzz folk," ranging from drum-crashing, bass-thrashing sonic freakouts, strummy classical guitar love songs, angelic vocal choirs, and almost-whispered vocals over harmoniums and bell kits. In 2004, Elverum abandoned the "Microphones" name to begin recording as Mount Eerie.D/L:http://www.mediafire.-com/?o5xeyibde0y

Several microphones became available to the general market in the recent years for the main purpose of using them in IP telephony. There are many kinds of microphones that can be used with VoIP phones, here are the popular ones:Desktop Microphones – Also known as omni directional microphones, these ones are situated on a positional boom and are usually installed on top of the desk or the monitor. A great feature they provide is that they can be used hands free because of their great sensitivity. Being omni directional such microphones allow several people to speak at the same time, which can be handy for conferences among groups of people in d...

Portable Audio Jammer - Interference for Microphones
2007-10-15 10:07:00
This is something a little different for you, a device that claims to interfere with microphones by generating random noise on a variety of frequencies. The random sounds are meant to desensitise nearby microphones from tape recorders, RF bug transmitters, hard-wired microphones, contact microphones and parabolic microphones. The Microphones - It Was Hot We Stayed in the Water (K, 2000)
2007-06-27 10:58:00
"It was hot, so we stayed in the water" es un disco hermoso, sensible, raro en el mejor sentido de la palabra. Did you know that speakers can be used as microphones? Neith
2007-01-14 22:41:01
Did you know that speakers can be used as microphones? Neither did I, 'till I decided to experiment and see what happened. I tried it many years ago and found that it worked. How did I do it? Well, the speakers had a 1/8 jack on the end that I plugged into the radio (yeah, not a computer at the time). After plugging it into the microphone receptacle, I put in a tape started and started recording. I then spoke into the speaker and, voila, when I played back the tape I heard my voice. The reason why this was possible is because the makeup of the speaker is similar to that of the microphone. Both have a coil that vibrate when audio hits it. The audio (sound energy) is transformed into electrical energy which is transmitted to the recording head which writes to the tape as sound energy. That's why it oworks. It also works on the computer. Please note that this was all for fun. If you are going to do any serious recording, use a microphone.

The Microphones - Mount Eerie (K. Records, 2003)
2006-12-15 15:10:02

Microphones - The Glow, Pt. II (K. Records, 2001)
2006-12-06 09:03:02
