La razón de ser de esta medida era poner freno a la piratería, pero las reacciones contrarias a su aplicación no han hecho sino crecer desde entonces y muchos clientes de la compañía norteamericana no han dudado en mostrar su malestar ante este tipo de acciones contrarias a los derechos de los consumidores.
